Protons do not decay. All baryonic matter has fused into a single element, iron. For the last decillion years, the flourishing entity of inclusions has not stopped its lament. Designed to reach as far as possible the final energy state of the universe, Chrysocolla repeats the same dream over and over until the end of the cycle. And when it has finished, it awakens, returns to a previous unstable state of its existence, and feels that beyond the absolute darkness, above this ultra-stable iron star, lies another form of terminal life. She expresses her joy and excitement once more upon realizing she is not alone.

Mineral life forms are hives of microorganisms that maintain a defined chemical composition. From phosphates, sulfates, carbonates to silicates, these beings are understood as a group as the main intelligent species on Earth. Gems not only shine for their varied colors, their abundant intelligence, strength, and beauty, but they also stand out for their imperishable capacity. In short, immortality, even if their body breaks into a thousand pieces, as long as most of their parts are recovered and rejoined, gems will revive again and again. In this way, for over 10,000 years, generations of mineral life have inhabited this immaculate paradise.

The crystalline land is an extensive island located in the northern hemisphere of the planet. This landmass hosts a large and unique ecosystem of organic and inorganic beings. Although most carbon-based beings do not exceed 20cm in height, the rest of the mineral life functions as a regulator and preserver of these species. Outside the island, in the ocean, natural life develops without interruption. It is theorized that the saltwater mass comprises 99% of the Earth's surface.
During winter, a large part of the sea freezes over and the sky fills with clouds so dense they prevent any kind of transparency. The gigantic frozen continent that rises before the crystalline land could be explored, but for now most gems lie dormant due to their weakness. The microscopic inclusions that provide gems with mobility and consciousness run on light energy. Therefore, in winter, on cloudy days and in dark places, efficiency tends to be attenuated.

> Gemstone
Stats depend on the chosen mineral. Any can be selected, from gypsum to diamond.
> Age
200 years or less
> Appearance
All gems have a feminine appearance. Hair, iris, and nails share mineral characteristics of the gem they represent.
> Personality
Optional
> Property
Mineral properties such as the various colors of Alexandrite, Ametrine, or Mystic Topaz, fluorescence and radioactivity of Uranocircite, translucency of Kunzite, double composition of Onyx/Carnelian, asterism. Put "none" if it's a common gem.
> History
Optional. Historical data doesn't have to be precise, it's just a prior construction of events to know if your characters have certain fears, goals, previous relationships with other gems of rivalry, friendship, or to know about possible hobbies for future work. Again, it's optional, what I recommend is to put "None", or "-" would be the same.

It is not necessary to have lurked the entire roleplay to join. Regarding world information, I usually put it in-role, directly in dialogues or memories from past years for your characters. Some general details: The roleplay world is set in a very, very distant future. All are born in the same place due to the concentration of strange particles, particles that at the same time provide their individuality. And they cannot die.

Below I will leave a list of minerals classified by hardness if it helps with the choice.

I like being Sapphire, I don't like being what you said.
>Anything that reminded her of her weaknesses or how inadequate she was as a gem made her uncomfortable, and more than that, she couldn't act, speak, or think the way she liked if she was always aware of those things.
I'm fighting, that's what a combat gem does.>Although their reasons differed, at the end of the day they were still together doing the same thing, their differences would put them at odds in situations like this, in which one preferred to retreat and the other to stay in front, but if she ignored it, her objective was still to break pyroclasts, she would achieve it more easily if she stuck to her original plan and pretended to listen to what her partner was saying.
>Taaffeita wanted to escape, so Sapphire broke some path so she could do so.
>Taaffeita asked him not to get caught, so he defended himself from the pyroclast's attempt to cut off his feet.
>Two ashes coming from the same spot that was with them inside the dome approached and Sapphire decided to attack them both, thinking it was a bit quick, she didn't want two more pyroclasts complicating the fight.

That's what you are

>He pronounced it as if it were the most obvious thing in the world because it was.
>Leucosapphire is Leucosapphire, Taaffeite is Taaffeite, Watermelon Tourmaline is Watermelon Tourmaline, etc.
>It is possible for some gems to change their name as happened to Ametrino who is now Citrino
>However those things only happen when a change occurs in your own mineral
>The names of each one are not something that should be changed just because
>Since these represent your own existence as well as who you are

Okay, keep it up

>I didn't want to have big conversations during combat as doing so would only create distractions.
>Later they will have time to talk about Leucozafiro's problem as well as discuss his actions during this fight
>Right now the best thing you can do is make sure she does her duty and doesn't get hurt
>And the best thing Taaffeita can do is concentrate on the pyroclast itself that is attacking them.
>The damage to its structure was not yet fatal but it had already lost much of it.
>That made her a little nervous, not so much because of the damage it caused but because of the fact that at all times she had the feeling that an even stronger one would appear
>They are probably your own fears, but it is still difficult to silence those thoughts
>The only thing that reassured him was the fact that he could maneuver around the block without problems
>It was almost as if he already had experience with these kinds of enemies, which shouldn't be the case given how rare they are.
>A light was glimpsed along his path and he instinctively headed towards it while continuing to do as much damage as possible to the pyroclast.

>It expels a strong wind, but the waves that rock the ferrofluid in the slick do not seem to originate from that force. As the ashes come out they cool down. The fact that they lower their temperature is related to a certain state of consciousness, just like gems that can regulate some temperatures at will. For this reason, the first newly emerged ash is much more similar to an animal than to a mineral being. He moved forward as if it were pure instinct. It fell on the ferrofluid, its black and red parts mixed. Instantly, the ash reformed and reorganized itself to move in a better way. The ashes attack Sapphire in an unequal order and he cannot take care of both at the same time, as that would be taking a step towards the liquid abyss and connection to the crust. Advancing measuredly, with the sword firm, but the ground not so much, Sapphire faces the first attack. The ash bounced a few times before releasing its connection to the earth and impacting Sapphire's sword. The blow was one lower than you might expect. The remains of the ash did not jump to his shoulder, which he could dodge with a couple of movements, but rather they did so well below his grasp. Sapphire's left leg and crotch are melting from freshly destroyed volcanic material. Before you can remove it, you must deal with the onslaught of the second ash and the distraction of chunks of block falling from the ceiling. The light has begun to leak, the block is about to break.
…>For Taaffeíta, her current body shape resembles a carrot bitten by one of the great creatures of winter, a fat rabbit strangely named by Kunzite. The hole in Taaffeíta's side did not reach his torso, so the risk of falling is out. His strength has not diminished either, only his stability and how he can adapt to his new speed and weight. The block attempts to repel the most direct damage, like an animal that does not care about the contact of poisonous grass when it is fleeing from another. The block can no longer attack Sapphire, causing her to only have some volcanic sheets fall that as soon as they touch her mineral, they break instantly, she is not able to notice it either. To defend itself and continue building its structure, the bloc resorted to the same tactic. Instead of using a single plate to push Taaffeite aside, he used two to smash her into a V. Taaffeite was able to avoid the attack, at least the most lethal one, as his speed failed to break out of the range of the block and his left arm, the one without the sword, was torn off. He only withdrew it, but after a restructuring the bloc planned to destroy it completely.
(Citrine) Taff! What is the situation? And Sapphire? Did they destroy Sapphire?
>The block tilted again, or so it seemed, it actually slid to one side. Citrino and Grossularia reached a position close to Taaffeíta's while cutting a semicircle of the block. The block completed its crack and slid to the side trying to connect again. Citrino is very direct, but also perhaps too hasty. Taking the worst possible situation for granted, he gave instructions to his partner, Grosularia.
(Citrine) Gross, defend Taaffeite and destroy the block! I'll recover the bigger pieces.
>His arms no longer have any luster, for some reason. She used the contact of her hardness 7 ore to break through the hardness 6 block. Citrine took damage and a few pieces jumped out of her arms, but that seems minimal since she is already inside the block. If Grosularia understood the orders correctly, it seems they should destroy the block and let it collapse with a couple of gems inside.

I'm a Diamond. Just call me that.
>I knew what it was and didn't like being reminded of it. It wasn't like she could stop being what she was even if she tried. Being tough didn't make her any closer to a Diamond, all the corundums had the same hardness. But improving her combat skills and changing the color of her hair were the most she could do to get closer to what she wanted, and it wasn't enough for Taaffeita.
>Even with the blue hair, even when she showed how good she was at fighting, Taaffeita still called her that. Apparently the only way she could be treated the way she wanted to be treated was if she did the impossible and changed her mineral from the base.
>If the only way she could make everyone do something as simple as calling her by the name she wanted to be called was by permanently altering her body, she would happily spend a very long time locked up in a cave with Circita until the radiation did the same thing to her as it did to Citrino, or helped her stop thinking about those things, one way or another, she was close to doing it in the same way, more than once she had thought about it.
>She couldn't attack the ashes without getting too close but it seemed like they could get to her, and it was annoying.
>One of the ashes fell and the block was about to fall too, the battle shouldn't last much longer.
>Assuming that Taaffeita would have already escaped, nothing more would attack them and other gems would arrive soon to help them collect their pieces as before, she decided to follow the path towards the outside of the block, struggling brute-force to break a path, hoping that her mineral would break too once she succeeded so she wouldn't be conscious of what happened at the end of the battle.

The next turn is supposed to be triple, triple + timeskip. But if Taaffeíta does not respond by tomorrow, Sunday, I will respond to Zafiro and Grossularia, as if it were a double shift.

The next turn has a small revelation and an important dialogue. I'm a little excited to write it. After that, come a couple of extra turns, they will be called Anatasa III, Double Gold and Violet, and Cozy Place.

Nah, you're exaggerating, Dioptase

Our species would be sad if it were the creation of one or more superior entities to satisfy a momentary boredom.

Like pretty dolls dancing on a gigantic stage, tied by invisible threads

The analogy that Axinita presented confused me, it has been years since I reviewed a book of stars

My instinct tells me that I am flattered but I don't like unprepared riddles, a trait of a sore loser but one that will be done

Oh, how sweet of you, polaris

My thing was not complex riddles, but simple and direct ones

So there is nothing new under the sun although long periods of peace are followed by the growing shadow of conflict

You will see how to solve it as it always has been and will be

Information comes and information goes, my concentration pales against the boredom that eternity sometimes gives

Thank you for the information, Axinita

I'll see how I adjust my schedule for that job

One or two should be enough to get started

In my experience, having many results at once makes you not focus on those small details.

My superior's words about his investigation focus all my attention on it.

I feel like an idea is born in my mind, the ideas of the two form a Hegelian dialectic

There is a lack of data to complete a logical theory but the idea is there

To what extent can the identity of a gem be determined?

I remain thoughtful for a few seconds, but Axinita's silence tells me that she is done speaking.

I hand in my notes about my homework to my superior, I do it more by reflex instinct than by any other stimulus.

I'm back from my business on the other side. What did I miss?

Why is it... Just focus!

>I have never seen someone act this way because of his name
>So he doesn't know how to react to this whole situation either.
>The fact that he is in the middle of a fight only makes it more difficult to know what to say or how to interpret it.

It's not destroyed, but... it's acting strange...

>Citrino's words make Taaffeita realize that perhaps she was too hasty when deciding what color smoke to use.
>Because of that it is a bit difficult for him to be able to fully explain the situation.
>Limiting itself only to a brief description while talking about the current problem of Leucozafiro
>Clearly Taaffeita is not being of much help in solving it so perhaps Citrino understands his situation better
>But again all that will have to wait until they finish with the pyroclast

>>8832

I'll be fine just take care of the pyroclast

>Both Leucozafiro and Taaffeita had done a more than decent job of taking care of the block
>A simple glance was enough to realize that he did not have much left to be defeated
>And with the presence of Citrino and Grosularia that time was reduced even more

>266 kilograms of semi-transparent white rock falls against a volcanic plate, the last one being the first to break. After the screeching sound of the inclusions, Leucozafiro can see how the volcanic material from the first ash melts into his left leg and begins to crack it. Perhaps that was the first reason why he fell when turning around and trying to leave the block. A light filters from the ceiling, half a second later, a long piece of block destroys part of the floor making a loud sound, it has fallen. After a long moment in the darkness, this small window of light to the outside provides a certain moment of plenitude, even though part by part of Leucozafiro is being destroyed by pyroclasts. The last ash took advantage of Sapphire's fall to launch itself directly at his back, but it was a matter of turning to crush him with the force of his ore. The pyroclast exploded, sending a stream of hot, hazy material down the sides of Leucozafiro. Another piece of block fell from the ceiling, very close, crushing the sword that had been left barely 10 centimeters away. The light filtered in, but only for a second because then a shadow covered it.
(citrine) …! …! I have it. (...) Hey, Sapphire, do you hear me?
>After spreading the pyroclast dust with his sword, Citrino quickly crouched down to take Sapphire's body with his other hand. He secured the largest mass, then used his sword to separate the rock and search for other medium-sized pieces of leucosapphire. She did it all in silence, but eventually she would realize that Sapphire had not fallen shattered. The ceiling began to lower and the walls to contract, breaking themselves. Citrino stopped worrying about the smaller pieces and got out of there.
…>When the block falls apart, the larger fragments that fall on the grass immediately connect to the mass of broken soil. Just like when the pyroclast attacked, covering all the grass inside the dome, this time it expands outwards in a desperate attempt to break them before you break it. Citrino entered through the block a few seconds ago, since then Grosularia ahead has had to deal with the walls of the block detaching from the structure and leaning quickly to fall on it. Only horizontal cuts are needed to create an opening between the falling material and a safe space. Even so, the movement is not entirely fast and the superficial parts of Grossularia are reached. Layers on the arms and throughout the upper part of their body, when they come off from small blows so do shells of variable metals. It is a moment, in which in a false step when returning three steps towards where Taaffeíta that a large piece of block falls on his head. Hardness 6 hit hardness 7, it was not serious, but it seemed so because a jet of liquid metal began to come out from where it was hit. While Grosularia is drained and attacks at the same time, Taaffeite only has to defend until they see the block fall. Citrino exited from the side, passing through a block wall again, although it was already fading. His sword is sheathed, on one side he carries Leucosapphire while with the other hand, his other pieces.

>The block collapsed and the opening towards the crust began, slowly all the pyroclastic material was swallowed by the stain and what was not, vanished into the air like volcanic dust. The block has a lot of mass so its disappearance is slow, Citrino saw this as the opportunity to collect the pieces of Taaffeite and Leucosapphire that fell in the interior area. Both yours and Citrino's are safe outside. Your work was collecting, it is the best you could do after the metal incident because, even though you had drained some metal during the combat, you still felt heavy. Taaffeíta, Leucozafiro and Citrino had to go ahead to the Academy to repair the first two. There was some risk that with an extra touch each one would fall broken, and Citrino didn't want to have to carry another gem a long way. While you were collecting all the pieces you came across a particular object, it was not a sword or a plant, but a tool made by the gems. An umbrella rolled up and resting next to some trees and on a green grass. There are not many gems that use this because the outdoor gems that do not fight are Tourmaline, Citrine and Chrysocolla. Crisocola has her own way of covering herself with that hat and Citrino would rather be destroyed than wear something that flashy. Finished the work and with the Tourmaline umbrella in your hands, you returned to the Academy 20 minutes after the others. In the distance you saw Anatasa slowly approaching the front of the Academy, heading towards the medical area, alone. You couldn't get close or yell at him because there was someone waiting for you outside. Two light blue gems, Dioptasa accompanied Fluorite from behind who was going to meet you. (...)
(Citrine) So, Fluorite wants you to patrol with us because...?
(Dioptase) I-I don't know. I don't have the toughness to fight.>Citrino still doesn't understand why you were left in charge of Dioptasa for the rest of the day. Dioptasa is a gem who is 156 years old, that is, she is older than you, but her way of working is as a librarian's assistant alongside Axinita. Dioptasa also does not understand why Fluorita took her out of work. But, Fluorite did tell you something with which you can reach a half-conclusion. What Fluorita said was that: “Dioptase has the risk of breaking down on its own.” Apparently you just had to keep her as your companion until Kunzita was much freer from her duties. Dioptase refuses to fight or even hold her swords, you're sure she has enough strength to lift it, but she will definitely convince her inclusions that she doesn't. Luckily, they have already defeated one block, meaning the probability of more pyroclasts appearing is low. Fluorita told them to patrol only 200 meters around the Academy, you are the only patrol group. When walking, Dioptasa sometimes tugs at your clothes so she doesn't get left behind or perhaps trying to get your attention.
(Dioptase) Aragonito explained to me the results of his experiments. I was documenting them in the library... (...) Me too-! I hear some things too… But only a couple of times a decade.
>It refers to what you have been hearing, Aragonito has already condensed the information with the gems in the library, she is very hasty. Dioptase explains a little. The recurrence with which she hears words is minimal and she does not feel the signal throughout her body but in a specific area. She always carries that eye tool with her because its mineral settles behind her eyes creating spikes that distort her vision. Glasses are a device with metal that somewhat repels the formation of these spikes. Dioptasa said that she hears them from that area, from inside her eyes.
(Dioptase) They are nothing more than a couple of syllables or sometimes just continuous vowels. At the time I was very scared, so I started investigating... There is a book that deals with this phenomenon, it is old.
>Unlike Dioptasa, Citrino doesn't seem to care much about the topic. Just hearing the frequency with which the phenomenon occurs is enough to discourage her. She walks around, but doesn't leave them completely alone. He sometimes stops next to you to observe the Academy or the sun slowly going down.

>The battle is over, by breaking you so much, your memories are lost, they are detached from a total matrix of memories. And the pyroclastic material that fused with you during the fight gives you a blurry vision of the way back. Citrino and Grosularia rescued them, but their group did most of the work destroying the pyroclast inside and out. A few minutes after arriving at the Academy, the bell rang, something was happening, but only Taaffeíta could fully react to the events as she was the first to be rebuilt by Andalucita. Topaz Imperial does her job carefully, but she is somewhat slow. She separated the black volcanic material impregnated in your mineral and emptied it all into a large container on the ground. Above water, most of it is black pyroclast powder, but what is not, is a very hard shiny white material. Imperial Topaz cleans and filters to remove the leuco-sapphire pieces and return them to your body. With each piece glued to you, you seem to be more aware. Even though she has started practicing with the sword Imperial Topaz is still sweet, she started painting you blue without you having to tell her anything. He did it with half of your hair, but he couldn't finish dyeing the other half or your eyes, because he had to attend to another broken gem. Anatasa is sitting next to you, Imperial Topaz went to pick up the pieces left by the combat gems that came from collecting. Anatasa cannot move from the hard stretcher, she must recover her left leg to do so.
(Anatasa) …>She didn't bother to greet you, she just sat there assisted by Imperial Topaz to be repaired. You can leave at any time, because all you need is to pour blue resin on yourself. It's rare that Anatasa isn't chatting or exclaiming about competitions and bets like in the morning. He's had that look for a while now, expressionless. Without moving her head she turns her eyes to the right and notices your legs, she knows you are here. Then he just returns his gaze to the ground.
(Anatasa) I tried to call for help, with smoke.
>There is something that is dripping, you can hear it through the silence and it is very close. From Anatasa's chin, making a thread behind her right ear, there is a red liquid that falls and stains the platform on which she is sitting. It is not metal, it does not have the shine of any or the tension of any and when it expands it releases a light vapor. It even falls through some cracks in his arms. You haven't seen many injured animals, but your experience with Taaffeíta has made you aware that they have a certain liquid inside that they release when their life is over or in danger. What is dripping from Anatasa looks like blood. Anatasa looks very tired, she finally gives in and lets go of the sword that she has in her hands almost nailed to the ground. Although she released it with her left hand, she has to exert more effort on her right hand to let go of her weapon and place it somewhere else. Anatasa's right hand fell to the side, you can see it completely closed. The thickness of his forearm is only a few centimeters, but it seems that he still has the strength to close his hand firmly.
(Anatasa) Sapphire, I can't open that hand.
>She finally said your name, the one you like to hear but not by him as she usually calls you. Anatasa's words focused your attention on her right arm again. Anatasa tried to move her hand, but her fingers kept grinding. It seemed that, by being connected by such a thin part, their rock had become just that, an immobile material. Anatasa made a request.
(Anatasa) Can you open it for me? Would you do it for me? Break my fingers so I can extend my hand.
>She asked a couple of times, when you looked up you could notice how she was looking directly at you. Accompanying his intense request are his empty eyes. Rather than pressing hard on her hand, it looks like Anatasa is holding something. His fingers cover it, but there is a certain shine and luster between what he keeps firmly. Seeing that you are considering it, she tries to convince you by citing your toughness. Anatasa is about to beg you.
(Anatasa) You are strong, Sapphire, your hardness is 9. It shouldn't be anything to you, right? Crush them, just break my fingers, I beg you.

They were attacked by a block of strange shapes and by several other lapillis, when Anatasa arrived you could barely see her go directly to the medical area. You're also in the medical area, in a way, but not where the repairs for the gems are done. It hasn't been long since you were in this place either, the blue room where the gems are taken is barely destroyed. You were here to clean up, to take care of the parts that can and can't come back, but you haven't been here for an event like this for about 200 years. The wooden tray is full of dirt, Tourmaline was probably dragged into the bark by force and the only pieces that remain are the ones she released when she fell. The same with the earth, it is the material that covered the pieces of Tourmaline once the stain disappeared. Anatasa surely thought that all of Tourmaline had been swallowed, if she had been able to imagine anything beyond processing what she had to see, because she looked devastated.

>It is inevitable, a thought that cannot be suppressed especially when the situation is the same, but it is also a fact: The pieces of Alexandrite were many more and with a better shape compared to those of Watermelon Tourmaline. The fragments of the latter barely reach a few centimeters in length and are so mixed with soil, which will be extra work for Andalucita when filtering. Some may even get lost in the process. Anatasa will not even be able to question herself and try to touch her pieces because she runs the risk of pulverizing them. Likewise for Tanzanite, the possibility of joining its mineral to another that is more or less in good condition disappears. The touch of your hair is soft, sometimes the mineral separates and lets your fingers flow between the strands. But, when you concentrate hard enough, your hair can become hard and only when it is hard can you pull it out. The sound is like broken glass, fragile, crisp, but it's one you're used to from battle. As you try to pull a piece, the voice of a familiar gem stops you.
(Kunzite) Stop, Taaffeite.

>Kunzite arrived at the blue room of the destroyed gems, he interrupted you. She does not carry her notebooks or the small bag in which her things usually are, nor does she have any aluminum thread that is wrapping her or guiding her here. Kunzite watched as you were about to remove a piece of your hair, as a common ritual towards destroyed gems. She wasted no time and stole the words from your mouth, the first question.
(Kunzite) Why are you here? (...) Tanzanite and Fluorite are having a very bad time, but I forgot them, I didn't give it importance. I came here to keep my memories about Tourmaline alive and maybe be able to help them later.
>She tells you why she is here. Normally Andalucita keeps this room for those who take care of the pieces of the gems, them and the closest gems who recently lost another. Even if Andalucita sent you here or the idea came about on her own, it seems that Kunzita has the same goal as you, to honor the disappearance of Turmalina Sandia. She is the one who usually repairs gems that tend to break on their own, like Onix in the past, or recently Dioptase. Forgetting that job momentarily, Kunzita clarified.
(Kunzite) I also come here often, to take care of pieces of mineral. I've been doing it for a long time, ever since Padparadscha explained to me why she does it too. But, every time I clean the pieces of one of the gems that you and I love, I must find a fragment of you.
>Anyone who comes to see the destroyed gems sees the same thing, a piece of you left aside. Andalucita allowed it in the past and has not stopped doing it, but it seems that Kunzita is complaining about the same thing. His expression is serious, he cannot have another one after learning of Turmalina's disappearance and that is why his words seem to weigh a little more.
(Kunzite) You know that right? It's painful for everyone to see how you continue to break down on your own. And for me, because I believe that every piece is important, even the most superficial ones, especially the most “superficial” ones.
>She performs the emphasis. Before you might never have known that Onyx is only 20% of his body and the majority is of a different composition, Carnelian. It is evident, since both are winter gems, Kunzite has a lot of appreciation for Onix and this means appreciation for the superficial and weak parts of a gem. After declaring that what you are doing is painful for her, Kunzite must cover her face for a moment. Heading towards the remains of Tourmaline, Kunzite waited a second before continuing. But, by then, Kunzite's expression had completely changed. There's no trace of the small drop of metal you saw in her hands when she turned around, now she gives you a smile.
(Kunzite) Don't break yourself anymore, please, okay?
>Kunzita asks you, waiting for confirmation. It's simple, all pieces of the gems contain memories, even the hair, even if they are more diffuse or negligible. Kunzita takes that into account and has asked you not to lose any more of those memories. Still with a smile, Kunzite mentioned the name of a gem, one that disappeared two centuries ago. She tried to make you remember.
(Kunzite) Alexandrite. She used to wear it long, remember? And Mystic Topaz, she was dressed in very long clothes, so long that the edges dragged on the ground.
>Kunzita touches her hair as soon as she starts talking about the two of them, sometimes her expression freezes a little, but it's because she has always had memory problems. Aware of the same, Kunzita highlights it.
(Kunzita) I can't talk about details, because I forget them all. But you have the opportunity to remember even the smallest thing, you must take it.
>Coloring your memories of that pair of gems by putting back pieces of yourself that you lost a long time ago, Kunzite's request breaks with how your ways of doing things have been for a long time. Even if you haven't fully accepted her request, she seems to have something else to say.
(Kunzite) I've been working on something...

(Axinite) Almandine, a description of Bort's dreams is needed here. Do you see it? It's in this part.
>Your field report, done for a minimum of three hours documenting Bort's dream, has some error. On the back was written a box that required a detailed explanation about his dreams. You couldn't have seen her, after all, Bort's problem was his sleepwalking, not his strange dreams. Apparently all base report sheets have a similar section, even those reserved for Onix and other gems. Axinita is not the one who gives the final approval to your work, but her review helped to notice this small error.
(Axinite) If Fluorite asked for it, it's probably important.
>Dioptasa may be thinking the same thing, you can tell by seeing how she pays attention. But, your task is not that important, or at least that's how most gems make it seem. Fluorite might forget asking for that or even Bort might have already forgotten the dream he had. The weight of responsibility prompted you to leave the library. Neither Green Diamond nor Black Diamond said where they went after you slept with one of them, but they weren't going to train. When you went down to the first floor of the Academy, you could see a peaceful panorama. Imperial Topaz, an orange gem has just entered the medical area, where her job is. You would hear about a diamond soon, when one came back to support you.
(Moissanite) ...!
>It is hard, solid and firm like no other. Faux Diamond's arms surround your abdomen causing cracks to form in that area. If Bort hadn't destroyed your body enough by sleeping with you, Moissanita would consciously do it by giving you this tight hug from behind. Its limbs continually crack and destroy you, it is noticeably uncomfortable, but from Moissanite's point of view, this is a gentle and comforting experience. It doesn't seem to matter how much your inclusions squeak as she shreds the mineral like paper, Moissanite buries her face in your back and you can feel her lips move when she asks.
(Moissanite) Where was-..? Ah.. A-ah! Ahh!
>Moissanita can't finish the question, she cuts off her words when she starts to feel more than she should. Her hands completely close the hug circuit and are able to touch her elbows, which is rare for her. The thickness of your body is not one she is used to, as Moissanita would expect to only touch her forearms with her hands. Moissanite stops the pressure, she slowly releases her hands as she realizes. Then in one swift movement, Moissanita finally pulls away from you and waves her hands anxiously as she shakes her head. Faux Diamond calms down moderately when he covers his incredibly shiny hair with his hood. She explains the misunderstanding, while apologizing.
(Moissanite) S-sorry. Sorry, Almandine! I can't find Almandin since this morning. It was a mistake, you look too similar…
>Moissanite is a 1032 year old gem, and with its partner, they are both the same age. As a diamond, its hardness is less than 10, but its white shine is incredibly intense. She usually wears clothing that covers part of her hair at all times, so as not to drown out the eyes of others with huge sparkles. Moissanite is the same size as you, even though it is 10 times your age. His partner on the other hand is slightly taller and a little thicker. That is the detail that differentiated them, since when it comes to color it is the same.

299,914. Today, 80 years ago, when Almandine was only 28 years old.>There is a gem that is identical to you, but she is 924 years older than you. While Fluorite gave you the name Almandino 29, she is known as Almandino 36. But, before you were born, she was simply “Almandine”. Almandine 36 is an older gem, she comes across as very kind, and she definitely looks like a developed version of yourself. His partner has been Moissanita, she has always been by his side, apparently because they were both born at the same time. But, you were born alone. It would take 8 years from your birth for you to meet other smaller gems. It's night and you're in your room, today Fluorite put aside your education, it's been a few years since you completed it, 3 years specifically. Since then, his tasks have been few and none of them really demand you. There are a couple of gems in the hallway to the rooms and they can be found by walking towards the library and then the stairs. You can hear the screams of a very rude gem.
(Padparadscha) He's nothing like Almandino! Stop telling lies, Fluorite. She is good at following orders, fighting, and can even keep up with a diamond.
>Padparadscha is the strongest gem, despite not being a diamond, it is the gem that destroys the most pyroclasts every year and which they use as a reference for training. Padparadscha, the invincible gem that you know very little is talking about you. He doesn't seem to care that he's walking next to your room while demanding Fluorite. The latter is the leader and according to other gems, like Padparadscha, she has been making bad decisions for a while. It was Fluorite that, upon seeing your performance with the sword, stopped the practices and instructed you in more delicate dye work. Mentioning you seems like just a detail, an element that figures in a larger equation of problems. Padparadscha's voice drifts away as he mentions the other gems, who are only a little younger than you.
(Padparadscha) You are creating a generation of useless gems. First Dioptase, then Almandine 29. You have also not completed the education of Leucozafiro or Grosularia.
>She stated bluntly. It is then that a loud sound hits your room. It comes from a corner, where your mirror is located. The mirror is intact, so the sound of breaking wood could only come from behind it. Next to your room is the library. Unlike the other rooms made of rock and a mixture of hard materials, the library is made entirely of wood which makes its walls weak. Accompanying the sound of natural fibers rustling, there is a voice behind the mirror. She comments as she pushes it aside with her free hands.
(Chrysocolla) That pair makes too much noise… (...) Hello, can you help me?
>Chrysocola has broken the wall between the library and your room and seems trapped in the middle of both. She immediately asks for a hand, but the situation is bizarre enough to consider it. Chrysocolla is a 556-year-old gem, it is blue and has minimal hardness. With only 3.5 hardness, the touch of any other gem can destroy it. Furthermore, their job is to wander the seabed. You've rarely been able to see her on the surface and you've rarely chatted for more than 5 minutes. Both for its hardness and for its work that yields no results, it is known as the most useless gem of all. Well, she carries out her research solely to satisfy herself and does not provide forecasts like Axinita, or destroy pyroclasts to directly help others.
(Chrysocolla) I know it's weird, I'm trying to get into your room in the middle of the night. But, I'm doing it for a reason!
>She didn't wait for you to get closer, Chrysocolla continued to exert force until she was able to bend the wooden beams and open space through the hole. He claimed that he had a motive to raid a gem's grounds during the night, and with that in mind, he began to free himself from the wall's strong grip and escaped. His clothes caught on the edges of the destroyed wood and he had to return his hands to remove these folds. Part of her dress almost broke from the feat. When Chrysocolla is finally full body in your room, she explained. He raised his hand and index finger, and commented confidently.
(Chrysocolla) I'm going to kidnap you.>He said and then looked at the window. The moonlight gently filters through it. Kidnapping, it's a word you learned 3 years ago, it's often repeated by combat gems when they refer to gems that are no longer there. When a gem is taken into the interior of the earth, the Crust, it is considered a kidnapping. Crisocola then returned her gaze to the interior of the library and hurriedly grabbed her hat that she left on the other side. This is a very big and long one, and even though it is night, she puts it on her head.

>Once the fight was over, he looked around and could see that although they were injured, none of the gems present had been taken.
>That calmed him down and made him think that he could have prevented something bad from happening.
>However, upon arriving at the repair room he was informed that this was not the case.
>Now he was in front of a box mostly filled with dirt in which he could see some pieces of what was previously Watermelon Tourmaline.
>He placed his hand on that dirt while making sure not to touch any of the small parts of the gem that was no longer there.

Sorry for the inconvenience...

>He looked to the side and removed his hand from his hair after listening to what Kunzita told him.
>Every time a gem is lost so is a piece of Taaffeite, that was the "ritual" I had been following until now
>The idea of her being here instead of the others was an idea that Taaffeita disliked a little, that's why she started doing all this
>However, it seems that their actions have caused inconveniences in the work of the others
>He doesn't want to be a nuisance to Kunzite or anyone else, which meant he couldn't leave any more of his pieces in places like this.
>Hide them was not an option either since that could be inconvenient, but I did not see it as appropriate to stop doing it either.

What about Anatasa? How is she? Maybe I should talk to him...

>For now she had decided to follow Kunzite's advice but she was not sure whether to put aside her "ritual"
>He's not in the mood to think about it and he doesn't think it's a good time to talk about Alexandrite and Mystic Topaz either.
>Especially in this place, which always seems to be surrounded with an atmosphere that makes you want to constantly lower your face
>Anxious to change the topic of conversation, she ended up mentioning who must be having it worse than the others.
>And that is none other than Anatasa who had been in the care of Turmalina Sandia until now
>At a time like this you can't be mad at her, not when she just lost someone so close.
>A feeling that Taaffeita herself knows well and that is why she sees it necessary to try to start a conversation with her.

Onix had said that you wanted to talk to me. Does that have anything to do with that? (...) I'm sorry... Could we talk somewhere else?

>Due to what happened he ended up almost forgetting what Onix had told him
>It was fortunate that Kunzita herself was the one who presented herself to him to be able to finish that matter

Pain and confusion invaded my being as I was broken by every second I spent in the embrace of absolute strength.

unable to fight

Without strength to flee

I couldn't even make a single sound of pain.

I was powerless against the false diamond

Why?

Why me?

What did I do to deserve this torture?

It was a universal sin to be responsible with your work

Bort's dreams were so important and secret in the vast expanse of the universe that this was a warning for me to abandon my work.

No, no, no, what am I thinking?

The unyielding pressure was gone as soon as it arrived but the pain was still there, embedded its roots in my mind and leaving scars across my body.

I was dragged to the ground, falling to my knees, putting all my effort into maintaining my weak balance.

If I fell, my pain and damage would worsen but I was unable to get up or move.

Just like a puppet whose strings have been cut

My eyes could only see the Moissanite feet and the ground

My entire being rumbled with the sheer anger of the gem's pathetic excuses and motive.

My fists contracted until they burst from my desire to hit him with my face.

It was stupid but it didn't matter, I wanted him to pay, I wanted him to suffer

I longed for revenge

I spent all my strength lifting my neck to look my attacker in the eyes.

A look is worth a thousand words

I wanted him to know, to know, my pain, my hatred, my contempt and he will go

I wanted to know that I will never forgive her and in my eyes, she is just my sworn enemy.

I threw a spit at his face and fell into unconsciousness, not knowing if I hit the target.

Plunged into darkness, you walked and walked with no direction or guidance for an inexorable amount of time until the world around you was filled with life, color and sound.

A memory of an event you could barely remember

It was a strange situation, one that even though it didn't make sense, you got carried away with it.

ok

Where are we going?

Shall we go to the place where they kidnap all the gems?

Are you a traitor by birth or did you become a traitor because of a truth?

How have they not caught you until now?

So many questions but so little time

>He looked around the room without saying a word, as much as he could. Without his body and without his complete memories he had to be careful before acting, he had to know who was present in the medical room and what color their hair was.
>She slowly became convinced that there were no older gems waiting to scold her for things she had done before breaking herself, nor lesser gems who saw her with the wrong appearance and attitude.
>Everything had gone too well with his plan. She had skipped the part about collecting minerals, the part about listening to Taaffeite's reproaches or whatever she had to add to their interrupted conversation, she destroyed the pyroclasts practically without the help of lesser or less experienced gems and she had not been seen with that color by gems who did not want to be seen that way, and if any of that had happened, she did not remember it, which would be the same.
Of course, Watermelon's umbrella, I just recovered that memory.
>She said something to break the silence when it was just her and Anatasa in the room.
I'm sure it's intact, Taaff reminded me very strongly to put it aside before we attack the pyroclasts.
>According to their point of view, it was not the pyroclasts who attacked them, but they attacked them, because they always came out on top.
Do you eat grass too, Ana?
>She acted nonchalant when asking about the smoke Anatasa talked about, remembering the process her partner did with the weed before smoking the same way, and a past conversation they had about it.
If I try to open it I'm going to break you.
>He tried to explain this to Anatasa so that she wouldn't ask him to open his hand anymore, but Anatasa had no problem with that and actively asked him to break it.
>It wouldn't be a problem for her either, she had accidentally broken other gems before, she knew that they would surely be repaired later, she didn't mind doing it, even if other gems scolded her for it, but the request seemed unnecessary to her, and that it would cause easily avoidable inconvenience for the medical gems.
My strength is not to break other gems, Ana. Your hand will open again, just be patient. Someone else will come up with a better solution.
>Breaking the hand of a lower hardness gem wouldn't do much to test her strength, any gem could do the same thing naturally and effortlessly, the harder it was to admit that other gems could do something slightly related to breaking better than her, because if that was true, in time maybe the gems would also discover a better way to break pyroclasts that didn't require hard gems.
I get it, I'm not good at waiting either.
>He got up from his bed, walked a few steps and moved to Ana's bed to sit on her right.
I'm going to stay here with you to help you be patient. Hm~ hmm~ hm~.
>He smiled at her, closed his eyes, and began to sing something he thought sounded melodic while he shook his head from side to side and swung his feet back and forth, following some rhythm.
Hm~ hmm~
>Slowly, his right hand approached Anatasa's, carefully.
>Even if not breaking each other was a rule and she was seen badly or punished for doing so, consciously or unconsciously, she didn't care. She had said she was a bad gem who broke rules and proven how good she was at breaking things before, she could do it again.
Hm~ hm~
>He placed his hand on Anatasa's, delicately. His fingers sought to intertwine with hers, trying to find some opening to slip through without forcing entry.>Refusing at that moment to help Anatasa by doing the only thing she knew how to do well when she begged her for it would be like denying Kunzita a hug at the end of the world, even if it broke her. If they were both sure that it would make them happy, she would help, it also made her happy to do what she was good at.
Hmm~
>He stopped moving, opened his eyes to see what he was about to do, and took Anatasa's closed fingers one by one, spreading them in the direction they should naturally open. I was prepared to break his fingers, but I would still try to minimize damage by being gentler. Instead of just destroying his hand, he would open his fingers if he could.

(citrine) Hah! Ha!!
>A first and second blow into the air with the sword. Citrino ended up getting bored after patrolling for a few minutes. She says it herself, for Citrino, her workplace is very far from the Academy, where the geography changes completely and she is able to study it. At just 200 meters from the main structure, Citrino must feel quite limited. He doesn't bother to study the soil or measure the grass. While Citrino looks for the best way to waste time, Dioptasa is still by your side. She has this habit of following them behind, although, there is a lot of space to the sides to walk through. When Dioptasa hears how relieved you are to receive the news that this phenomenon doesn't just happen to you, she tries to clarify again. Dioptasa stated again that there are gems that listen too much, for example, one of the diamonds.
(Dioptase) Yellow Diamond could also hear something, but she says it was a long time ago. I really don't know if at that moment, she was talking to me about a dream or reality.
>It's the same with Yellow Diamond, it is a gem so old that it has lost control of its time. Some days, for her, would be like the blink of an eye. But, despite having that type of status, Yellow Diamond continues to have a certain style. One that beats the one you have right now, holding an umbrella. In terms of refinement, combat gems are far below, the only ones that manage to save themselves are diamonds and some corundum. Dioptasa also has no more class than working in the library, it is not necessary to give him the umbrella. When Dioptase receives your confirmation to read, she begins to pause.
(Dioptasa) If you will read it, then... Well, there is something with that book...
>Dioptasa comments above, she waits for them to stop so she can say it. While walking, she looks towards where Citrino is, she continues practicing with the sword. Citrino has always been this responsible, at least when it comes to patrolling or fighting, because when it comes to ground he is much more flexible. When Dioptasa stopped and caught your attention, she said.
(Dioptase) The last gem that wrote on it, did so 690 years ago. His name was Ametrino.
>Citrino's sword slips from his hands, it crosses through the two of you, narrowly grazing Dioptase's nose and making a small scratch. Dioptasa said that Ametrino, who was previously Citrino, edited the book last, meaning she always knew about hearing strange things from the beginning, or that's the first conclusion you can come to. When Citrino looks back at her mention, she asks. Dioptase shakes his head several times in response to Citrino.
(Citrine) Who? I? You must be confused.

>>8850>His parasol reflects the light coming from the room and does not allow you to fully observe his face. The figure found walking through the lavender field is one that, although you have not seen it every day like Anatasa, you can recognize well. She carries her sword hanging from a thin belt, it wobbles continually as she walks. What she carries in her hands, they hug her gently, but also maintain a firm grip, her umbrella. When Turmalina Sandia has finished a short walk in the middle of this beautiful panorama, she stops, takes time to put away her parasol and observes the flowers. There is no longer a shadow covering his face, you can see it clearly, both his relaxed expression when observing something beautiful and his short concentration when analyzing the state of the flowers. Noticing that they all look beautiful, that they do not need any care other than to be contemplated, Tourmaline only gently caresses the edges of the petals and returns her hand so as not to intervene further in the image. He smiles, it is a routine that he has maintained for centuries and that he has embraced as part of his being. Kunzite accidentally whispers.
(Kunzite) Or maybe…
>The metal changes, Tourmaline becomes a mass of aluminum for a second, only until Kunzite has correctly simulated the Mystic Topaz garden. Replicating that garden is much more complicated than one can imagine, which is why it has notable errors in positioning and areas. But the important thing is there. Turmalina returns, this time without her sword, much safer being close to the Academy. She walks looking to the sides, but without touching the flowers too much because she knows that you have taken care of many of them and put effort into them. After all, Turmalina told you that you were doing a good job taking care of Topacio's work. When the metallic copy of Tourmaline approaches the open work area against the Academy, Kunzite melts all of his work. (...) It is like observing a replica of reality, monochrome and with intense brightness and gray colors. Kunzite has gone beyond a drawing and began to represent gems with its alloy. She explains to you.
(Kunzite) Although my memories are blurry, I can bring them back this way… That's why I needed to see the pieces of Watermelon Tourmaline..!
>She exclaims with some guilt, as if she had hidden something. The path here was a short one, at least for the state of consciousness you were in. Both are in an old room inside the Academy, on the second floor, the bubble room. The entire terrain here is soft, the pillows have some type of numbering for all the bubbles, and there is generally a 0% chance of breaking. Since it is a kind of storage for winter gems, there is no solid furniture. She made the representation with her alloy on the ground and showed you directly what Onix had already warned you about.
(Kunzita) But, by replicating their image, my intention is to make them fondly remembered, not to accidentally harm them. Therefore, I need your opinion.
>Slowly all the metallic liquid returns to his hands, erasing the last vision of Tourmaline Sandia. Unlike Diopside, the Kunzite alloy is much more stable, and she has had all this winterless spring and summer time to perfect these short performances. Some of his words might remind you of the conversation they had a moment ago, in the blue room. Kunzite remembering Alexandrite and Topaz and trying to make you remember them fondly too. Apparently, even at that moment, she was trying something. Kunzite, leaving his sad face, places his hand on his chest to ask directly.
(Kunzite) Would it make you happy to see a broken gem again...? Or would his image bring you pain? Why not replace that one tragic moment with a warm, eternal memory of her? Is it so important to relive such a horrible moment?>Kunzita questions. By this time its alloy has been completely removed and all that remains is a setting of pink and white. Light filters into the room through the window on the left wall. When the light hits his eyes, you can see small gray alloy beads. He no longer hides it, it is an attempt to understand you. Kunzite returns her hands to her face and absorbs the tears stagnant in her eyes with her index finger. Kunzita didn't wait for you to answer her questionnaire, she returned to a much more pertinent topic. Anatase.
(Kunzita) I know Anatasa is suffering now, it's obvious. She has worked almost as hard training as you, Taaffeíta. And now... she will convince herself that if she continues training and destroying her body she can avoid another situation like this. But, Anatasa doesn't need her load to be heavier.
>Being the youngest of her generation, it is inevitable that Kunzita would not have worried this way about Anatasa. But, Kunzite also had some concern for you. As well as, Ruby, Almandine, Moissanite and other gems. Kunzite begins to doubt, even when his objective is clear.
(Kunzita) I want to help her, Taaffeíta, and also help you. How can I do it? Say that: I will be there so that neither of them breaks. Would that be enough?

Em, I think you got it wrong black
(>>8766) I think I explain it here. Gems don't feel pain.
They're like rocks, no nerve endings or anything. So Moissanita's hug was nothing more than a light touch. If I described that it breaks you it's because it really breaks you, but you don't feel anything kek
You didn't faint or anything like that either. We transition to the flashback just because. I'm sorry for the abrupt change.
I think if you could be angry with her, but not to such high levels, it's kind of jarring. He just had the wrong person.

Normally combat gems break daily. That's why battles always involve mutilations and such. These gifs explain it too.
And gems don't have saliva either, so they can't spit.

You can rewrite your answer or we just ignore it, as you decide kek

OP, those things should be made clear from the first post or in its description

We just overlook that.

Almandine is going to continue hating the whore of Mossaibodrio with the force of a thousand suns for reasons (I put part of my soul in that post and I am not going to let it go down the drain)

Oh if not, he can spit saliva, so Almadien threw a little piece of it in Moissa's eye

You know I'm going to add my monkey's Lore to give more meaning to her hate

She was born with hypersensitivity to touch and this led to haphephobia, which over time transformed it from a fear into an irrational hatred.

She hates it when someone touches her without her consent, regardless of whether she is a friend or acquaintance.

The feeling that someone touches you gives you is a mental burning as if you were being burned, hit or melted.

For this reason it is not a combat gem either, it becomes too irrational and aggressive when someone touches it several times even if it makes the effort to remain calm during those moments.

For the same reasons, he wears very tight clothing such as shirts and office suits, he wants to reduce the contact between his skin and others.

No, black. The role is now a year old and there are several rules that I have been following.

First, if you're going to rewrite your character, that means all my turns and your previous responses are going to be decanonized. Because, it would not make sense for Fluorite to have given you the dream job knowing about your condition. And your relationship with Axinite or Dioptase would be less stable. Basically your entire story is going to change.
I put this rule in place when Red Diamond died. Because Kumiko was playing with her, and if she came back she would have to rewrite several things.

Second, this is more within the role and how the gems work, with the issue of sensitivity. Gems do not feel, they are born without feeling anything, but later they can acquire that characteristic. As they develop emotionally they can display different peculiarities, some for the better, others for the worse.
Touch is an acquired property, (>>91444) In this post I explain it fairly. With Alexandrita for example, she had developed a noble consciousness that allowed her a gentle touch and she used it to care for others.
What I want to get at is that Almandine's hypersensitivity cannot be the origin of his hatred, it is the other way around, only a well-founded hatred can give him that characteristic. If a gem experiences "negative emotions" (cause) it may develop a "sensitivity so acute that it is mistaken for pain" (effect).

If you had added this >Property to your character when you submitted your token (>>8757) it would have given you this same information sooner. Now, if you want to continue, send a token that adds that property and better explains Almandine's dark impulses.

OP, you're really confusing me.

Look, I'm going to throw those ideas away because I don't have that much time to rewrite several turns or make a card and advance from scratch

OP, I put a list of things a gem can't do or feel because if not, I feel like I'm going to make a lot of mistakes or confusion by not being part of the first few shifts.

By property, one would assume it is a property of the gem material (plan, luminosity, luster, opacity, etc.)

I tell you the truth, it feels like it is greatly limiting the capacity for interaction or creativity and I also feel that I have no fixed direction or that I am forced into a single path that I don't know.

I feel like I have almost nothing to develop Almandine, no conflicts, sorrows or glories, just a kind of slice of life

It ate me, the hate and the drama, if you want to make fun of my OP, do it as many times as you want, only I am responsible for my indecision

Just let me jump into uncontrolled rage

>Precious stone
Chrysoberyl

>Age
200 years, neither one more nor one less

>Appearance
My hair, irises and nails are yellow in color although they have a whitish line.

I usually wear the same set of clothes for comfort, I would like to say that it is my own design but I had it made using some books and ideas from other gems as a reference, I won't name names but don't think I'm going to stop investigating, it's not worth my time

Anyway, where were we going...ah yes, my dress

It is big and long so that it creates a barrier between my skin and the touch of others, a way to prevent me from getting into trouble.

>Personality
They say about me that I am grumpy, aggressive, sarcastic, antisocial, resentful, dramatic, loud and a thousand other expletives.

They are not wrong, I am that and much more, if it were not for the fact that there is no place where I can accentuate myself and live abroad, I would have already left

I'll make it clear to you, I don't like people, especially those who touch me without my permission.

My body is my temple and you dare to desecrate it with your dirty hands, I will break you into a thousand pieces, no matter how many times it takes for you to learn to respect it.

>Property
Hypersensitivity (Acquired)
Cat's Eye (Innate)

>History
My life?

Really? Do you want us to talk about that pile of shit? Ugh

You have horrible touch, maybe that's why you're one of the few I talk to.

Ahgr, let's get to the point

I was forced to be born like everyone else in this hole that we have as a home and because of my high toughness, I was socially "forced" to be a combatant.

In those days I was innocent and a sea of light, then the torture came

During training, I was the one who ended up fragmented the most.

At first, everyone, including me, took it as a mistake, which I would learn over time... it wasn't like that.

Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months and months turned into years.

No matter how much I trained or what advice I received, when it came time to fight, my teammates would sweep the floor with me.

Inferior in everything, he was a shadow of nothing, just trash

Some said that I would improve, I just had to be calm and patient, at the time of combat, not to rush

How the fuck do you want me to do that while a gem is coming at full speed and breaking me piece by piece?

I hated that, being destroyed, over and over again

Then hate, the training, then the treatments

hate, hate, hate

my world was colored by that word

She gave me a chance in the form of a curse

Pain

Pain is reliable, it keeps you awake, knowing what is wrong with your body and environment

Pain was my key to victory, I was able to overcome and return the humiliations I received

What I did generated disapproval in my teachers and fear in my classmates. The oldest or most docile gems called me a thousand times to find ways to change my aggressive behavior.

Bullshit, I wouldn't give up this gift for anything in the world, it doesn't matter if I'm left without anyone by my side, it doesn't matter if I'm an outcast.

Power is everything

If power is missing, I must seek more hate and pain

>Anatasa does not have to lift her sword to be able to place it elsewhere. When she lets go of her weapon, even with the difficulty of her right hand, she used her left hand to move the obsidian blade towards the corner created by her bed and the shelf. Since her left leg is a half-formed piece of black and yellow glass faces, she has the facility to just drag her hand where she wants. There is a force that lifts Anatasa half a centimeter and then returns her shoulders to their place. You don't know if it's because she's consciously moving or maybe it's an effect of her dripping. When animals run a lot they end up agitated, but it is not something you have seen in gems. At best, a lack of solar energy results in shifting sleep hours much earlier, the common practice for winter gems. After the silence that accompanied your question, Anatasa finally responded, regarding the grass she has been eating.
(Anatasa) It's bromine.
>Drops of volatile red liquid. You don't know if Anatasa refers to the fluid that drains from her as “bromine,” or to the type of plant she has consumed to emit this strange element. It is certain that there is a liquid material inside Anatasa's body, which is new, because only Kunzite and Diopside present something like this, but they do not fight often. Bromine doesn't sound like a made-up word either, if you delve into your memories now you might find some connection in Fluorite classes or recent re-education classes. But, Anatasa has made a request of you, and after requesting intensely, Anatasa reacts to your response in levels. At first, he barely flinched at the explanation regarding breaking. Then, he withdrew his gaze as soon as you mentioned waiting.
(Anatasa) …
>She just watched out of the corner of her eye as you approached and sat next to her. She kept her gaze on the floor, resigned to waiting for it to open on its own. But, when you finally touched her hand she shook her head slightly. It wasn't denial, he had simply closed his eyes. Touching Anatasa's hands is like touching any other rock, the only detail you could highlight is the slight friction that its surface has due to the resin. Anatasa's hands are slightly larger than yours, but her nails aren't a solid blue or white like yours, they have a pattern that combines her yellow and black. Probably a quirk of a gem as refined as Tourmaline, Ruby also has certain outbursts of class and style, but she is much more cautious due to your color. When Anatasa closed her eyes, she didn't do it because she felt your touch, she was concentrating and showed it with another light sound.
(Anatasa) Ah-…>The dripping of “bromine” stopped, the only thing that drips are the drops that did not finish falling, but it definitely does not appear anymore. Some of that bromine was in his hands. When you check your fingers you can barely see a slight smoke, it's as if the bromine disappears once it comes into contact with your hands. Anatasa's fingers grated again, she tried to open them. His hands are not completely clean, they have some dirt and grass remains on them. Especially his left hand, it seems as if he had plucked grass or done exhaustive work with Tourmaline and his plants. Slowly, between crystal sounds, Anatasa's fingers lose strength. You have broken it, but not much, there are only small cracks in its buds that you put a slight effort on. Anatasa's closed eyes tremble, as if she is sure that by opening them, she will once again apply a sealing force. When you are finally able to extend his hand, without crushing or having to sever his fingers, you can see it. What Anatasa was hiding is a piece of red crystal surrounded by a white rock, as if it were a sectioned layer of a sphere. You could see it for about two seconds, enough time for the cut red crystal in the center to present a phenomenon. A thin layer of water gave a final iridescent effect and then disappeared. Anatasa, upon realizing what it was, immediately closed her hands again and brought them closer to her chest, making a small dome.
(Anatasa) Why?
>Even with her eyes closed, Anatasa's expression is complicated. When you hide the piece of glass again, it seems that your efforts to open her hand were in vain, but it is the opposite, because you can see how she correctly arranges the piece of Tourmaline's eye using her hands and in an attempt not to let it fall. Sometimes Kunzite does that with her eyes, when she looks at a very young gem and feels proud or when she is happy, a small metallic sheen adorns her lower eyelids. What Anatasa does is similar, but at the same time strange, reddish smoke emerges and goes up, not down.

During the flashback it was only one path (actually two, but I was going to change them depending on your answer). Almandine has wings and a tail, and had to acquire them somehow.

>I feel like I have almost nothing to develop Almandine, no conflicts, sorrows or glories, just a sort of slice of life
It's basically that, the Academy is an infinite school. Gems live for thousands of years, so they keep doing the same things over and over again. Their lives only change when they acquire a special characteristic, they have to perform a new task or more specific cases, such as discovering a new type of life (Thread 1 Happy), the loss of a partner, a breakup or another type of incident.

>>8863
>It ate me, the hate and the drama, if you want to make fun of my OP, do it as many times as you want, only I am responsible for my indecision
Em I'm not making fun either black. I explained the rules of the role and gave you alternatives.

About the file
For the role, it's not the tone, at least not initially. I know that in HnK, where the role is inspired, Phos ends up as a ruthless version, but there was a process for all that

Within the role, there are certain mechanisms that prevent the formation of such a character. I'm only going to mention them because explaining several of them would be a spoiler: Fluorite, The Gems of the Cortex, Radioactive Gems.

As OP, I don't want to give you the experience of a walking simulator (or debate like in previous turns). I thought about the possibility that in your story you end up in the cortex, but it would be the same, a simulator of killing people.
The idea is to develop your character, either by making him more human or by making him lose parts of himself. I can't do that if we start with a mass of hate. I don't see it, maybe you do.

He's not a bad character, he's innovative. Almandine was also a creative character, I had to devise the mechanism that would give him his accessories. But for Chrysoberilo, within the role, the gems that don't fit go to live in caves or are destroyed, like the other Chrysoberilo I had as an NPC.

File rejected and quotas closed.

Just as a recommendation, if you still want to play a character that deals with hatred and pain, you can create a vampire in this role (>>95076). Basically, it's about a girl with 53 personalities, that would be the only limitation.
Almandine Fire Opal-b6fe58 No.8867 es
>>8866

Okay, now everything is clear

With the quotas closed, does it mean that you are throwing me out or do I continue in the role as almandine?

How curious that there was Chrysoberilo that was destroyed because it did not fit.

I planned to develop Crisoberilo as a bitter traveler with a purpose, to defend this place

Wrong heart with atrocious ways and a selfish desire

Little by little he would soften, fighting internally to control your hatred until he reaches a breaking point where he can mix passion and logic to create an indomitable will.

Because from love to hate there is only one step

The story of a violent monster who found redemption

Anyway, about Almandine, to mention the topic of flashbacks or well keep it a mystery as they only occur when Alamandine dreams or interacts with an object or person in a specific way.

Like, her subconscious is suppressing that memory but it's a stain from the past that won't leave her alone.

Reason why he cannot use a sword and the contact without her permission or her coming mentally prepared beforehand, produces a feeling of discomfort

>With the quotas closed, does it mean that you are throwing me out or do I continue in the role as almandine?
You can continue as Almandine, I just closed the possibility of receiving tokens. That is, we return to the options here. (>>8856)
<You can rewrite your answer or we'll just ignore it

I understand Almandine as a gem that is half considerate of the others, who tries to do her job with a certain optimism even though several of them are useless. A gem of a library. There is no problem with the fact that she has always been a little grumpy and shows it in uncomfortable situations. But, if his actions are incoherent or his attitude deviates too much, I will take it as an error in the interpretation of the character and I will have to continue making these statements and post meta to reach an agreement and fix it in some way.

The topics that I will touch on in the story of Almandine are the following: Methods of transportation, Mineral deformation (Coupling), Metal (Mercury), Alloys, Pyroclastic beast, Parasitization of third parties.
I may not use all of them either because we will not have time to make chapters and I will have to condense them or because I may come up with better topics and replace some.

I'll make the list of things that gems can and can't do, I guess I'll include some of their culture and things like that, I'll post it this weekend or when I have time.
If you want to know more about their society in the meantime you can search this "Life and Culture of Y-3579203181277". I don't handle the same details, but the gem community is based on that.
And I haven't read everything either so it's just a semi recommendation kek

Well, the flashback is not traumatic. Not completely, I did it that way at first, but then I cut all that thread with the intervention of Chrysocolla.
Almandine can give new meaning to the memories we're going to roleplay once we're done.

>Bromine was not a word she often heard or used herself, at most she would identify it as a rare metal that other indoor gems studied or used to make crystals and tools or add inclusions to other gems. What did sound to him was more like a metal than a plant, or perhaps it was because he knew fewer names of plants than of materials.
>Metals also had those reactions when they interacted with the gems' bodies, he didn't understand them but he could see that they were different from other objects, like solids that only broke or cracked or liquids that dissolved his hair and entered and exited different parts of his body if he was submerged or fell on him.
>It would confuse her more if she tried to figure out why plants had the same smoke reaction in Taaffeite as a metal in Anatasa so she didn't want to think about it when she saw the smoke in her hand.
>After a while distracted by those thoughts, she was able to open Anatasa's hand and see what her inert fingers were hiding, without resorting to breaking it and having to see it fall and having others hold her responsible for that, a success.
Hmm~?
>He had done what Ana wanted, however it had not made her happy. That her sister's response was not the most immediately pleasing to her somewhat soured the feeling of accomplishment she was beginning to feel.
>He saw how something was reacting again in Ana's body, but the little with which he could compare that reaction did not make it clear to him if it was a good one.
>He decided to continue with his old plan discarded for that occasion and not speak, he did not feel a strong urge to get up to train or move his body in any other way, perhaps because he was not completely blue, he could wait until he was to check if that was the case.

>At first he had limited himself to simply observing the movements of the Watermelon Tourmaline replica
>I had previously seen small sculptures made with Kunzite alloy
>But none of these had the level of detail and movement that they present right now
>It was certainly impressive, but at the same time it made him a little uncomfortable to see something like that

>Despite not expressing his discomfort in words, there was a small sample of it which was visible
>And that was the fact that he was scratching one of his fingers against the nearest wall
>The damage is not enough to break it since it only let out a few chips of its ore

No... you can't...

>The only time he expressed his opinion was when he claimed to be able to bring them back
>The only way to bring them back is to recover their fragments and that is what Taaffeita has been working so hard on
>Kunzite's creations are certainly impressive, but they are nothing more than mere replicas

>Since it will never reach the level of being able to actually revive the gem with whom those memories were made
>Taaffeita's gaze was displeased for a moment and she pressed her finger even harder against the wall

Sorry, maybe this can help other gems but I don't think it's for me... You should talk to the others before trying it

>He moved his hand away from the wall before it reached the breaking point and then stared at his hand
>While checking her condition, he had enough time to calm down.
>And after doing so he apologized to Kunzita for the way he acted>She certainly doesn't like the idea of pretending that someone who's already gone is still here.
>But you can understand that others find comfort in that idea
>Still, he warns Kunzita to be careful when doing it since doing it without any kind of warning could cause problems.

I will talk to Anatasa, I don't want her to put herself in danger either...and Kunzita... thank you for worrying, you doing that is enough for me.

>Anatasa is a younger gem than Taaffeita and also one whom he briefly had as an apprentice.
>Due to this, it is normal for you to feel close enough to worry about your current state.
>And the fact that she has also gone through something like this only makes Taaffeita feel more of a need to broach the topic with her.
>Kunzite on the other hand is also a lesser gem than Taaffeite, but the age difference between them is so short that it is sometimes forgotten.
>Due to this, she has never been able to feel like a greater gem in his presence.
>But he still worries about this one too, and he likes the fact that Kunzite also shares that concern.
>So in an attempt to calm her down, Taaffeita puts her emotions in order and tries her best to let out a small smile for this

What size are the Kunzite replicas? Do they make sound or is she supposed to fake their voice?

>She takes the edges delicately. Crisocola is a strange gem, she has such a casual way of communicating, but such gentle ways of treating her hat and her clothes. It's very eye-catching, especially the head accessory, it looks like it has some flowers on it. Crisocola took a quick look at your room while you asked her questions. She retorted, as you perceived her as a treacherous gem. Chrysocolla then assured.
(Chrysocolla) The Bark? No, I don't plan to visit that place ever. We'll go to a much more fun one. We will explore the sea! (...) Do you think you are capable of falling into silence?
>The sea is huge and seems to be dangerous. Your movements when you sink into the water are limited and the light that your surface receives is little. Crisocola has an idea of kidnapping outside of what is considered a common kidnapping. She then, after answering, rushed to your window. She opened it and commented while observing the bushes and flowers that adorn Taaffeíta's garden. Chrysocolla was planning to throw you out the window. (...) The fall did nothing to you, you have practiced certain acrobatics during your basic sword training. Chrysocolla on the other hand, she couldn't turn on the ground so she damaged part of her left arm. A small layer of his forearm peeled off, revealing his blue mineral. She wore three long gloves on that arm, the first two regular gloves and the third a diamond one, extra soft. Only in that way could Chrysocolla hold your right hand as they walked south. They are not only illuminated by the moon but also by a certain crystal that she uses as a flashlight.
(Chrysocolla) I am not a pyroclast, Almandine. They don't catch me because there is no need to lock me up. No one cares if I disappear or if I break into a thousand pieces and get lost at sea. (Well, it's not that they don't care, the reality is that everyone has already accepted a situation like that.)
>Chrysocolla explained along the way. She clarified about your first impression. Although it is a gem that you have seen little of, it does not seem to be totally bad, like the Tanzanite that is always guarded, it does not seem to be strong either. Even Chrysocolla mentions that their existence on the crystalline earth is quite vague, to the point that not even Fluorite is able to stop their dangerous activities. She makes an aside in a quieter voice, but you can't quite understand her. While Chrysocolla keeps the flashlight ahead, scaring away the small grass animals in this darkness, she guides and presses your hand. Chrysocolla declares.
(Chrysocolla) The point is that I am free!, free from the love of others, free from pyroclastic attacks and free to decide my own disappearance. And also, free to kidnap a little gem to observe a beautiful sunset.>His words are strange. It makes freedom seem like a subjective way of dealing with the certain punishment that will come for destroying part of the garden and stealing from you in the middle of the night. Around you, everything is dark, you can barely see the shadow of the forest and the light of the Academy is getting smaller and smaller. Sometimes the grass moves from side to side and blocks the light view back. But, Chrysocolla always pulls your hand to make you pay attention to the front. Just as one light disappears, there is another light that is born on the coast. She theorizes as they approach.
(Chrysocolla) Unlike me, it could be… that you are less free, right? Having toughness 7 is enough for the combat gems to want you as an apprentice, not having a job yet makes them all want you to do one that they like and... That other Almandine, you have an eternal connection with her. She will always be your older sister, and even if she disappears, everyone will remember something about her when they see you.
>When you turn your head to the top right your vision is usually the same. The expression Crisocola has is one of excitement, with a smile, even though she is exposing all the problems you have faced lately. It doesn't seem like she wants to make you feel bad, on the contrary, she expects a critical view from you. She returns to the same point when they finally crossed all the grass and met the sand of the beach. On the coast there is a structure over the water, a half pole that serves as lighting and a small table, as well as many baskets with things from the sea.
(Chrysocolla) I can't give you freedom, it's something you have to obtain, or recognize, for yourself, but I can give you a new point of view. And that's what I'll do! I will give you a new vision so that you can give me a new vision. Now tell me, what do you think? (...) About that, about the float, that one over there.
>It is 5 times bigger than a bed and it is very thick, it looks like it is made of wood. The edges are straight and there is no paint on it. It appears to be the prototype of some kind of vehicle. Chrysocola diverted your attention to the boat attempt for a while, waiting for an honest opinion. What he calls a “float” has a strange sound. When Chrysocolla pushes it from the sand into the water, a certain liquid is heard inside. At first this float sank in the water, but when Chrysocolla finally placed the entire base in the water, it began to float, its name was not a lie. (...) Even though you are small, your weight will not change when you are 300 or 500 years old, is what they always say. But, when Crisocola made you get on the enormous wooden float, it was illogical that it did not sink as soon as you placed your foot on the vehicle. Likewise when Chrysocolla rose with its light, and when they moved 10 meters away from the shore, and then 20. The sea is even darker than the land, you cannot observe its immensity because it is overwhelmed by the immensity of the night.
(Chrysocolla) Throw away your fear, Almandino. We will go to the southern atolls and return at dawn. (...) Meanwhile, an important question. What are gem works for? Why are they so important?

>Citrino began acting strangely after Dioptasa claimed that she had written the book. While Dioptase is a relatively clumsy Gem, or so it seems given her careful walking and eyes, she is a library Gem and her information management is top-notch. Citrino is Ametrino or... Citrino used to be Ametrino, until he had that accident. There is something that Citrino commented that he had been forgetting and that writing certain books was a possibility. Only she could know the truth, because as soon as the patrol ended, Axinita assisted her directly by providing her with that reading. When you returned to the Academy you also found out, a gem had been taken to the bark and that was Watermelon Tourmaline. (...) Dioptasa is quite sensitive, she usually spends time with Kunzite fine-tuning the hardness of her material and her mind. Several days have passed since Tourmaline was taken to the cortex and you still were not able to engage in conversation with Dioptase, who would make it easier for you to read. Since the toughness 9 and 10 gems are more motivated than ever to defend the Academy, your latest tasks have been a bit vague. Today, after drying Diopside's paper, Diopside herself would help you regarding the metal that was still coming out of you after having fallen into that tailings. She explains, as she manipulates one of your fine metal face sculptures, and your world is turned upside down.
(Diopside) It is a common reaction, the metal usually gathers certain information from our inclusions and is shaped this way. But, what is not common is for your inclusions to acquire and transmit information so quickly. It is as if all your “Grosularia” particles resonate very strongly and at specific times. (...) But, it doesn't have an effect on your memory and you don't seem to be smarter either...
>It's kind of cruel, but his slow way of speaking and his poor memory justify it, almost. Diopside spoke of the same thing as Aragonite, but gave it a theoretical and less experimental meaning like that of the orange gem. Dioptase drains you little by little using a thick sponge with which he has completely wrapped you. By hanging upside down, the metal drains into your head and then into your hair. Since hair has weaker inclusions, all the polymetallics you acquired drip out of this place much faster. The sensation is dizziness, not because your vision is upside down, but because the metals pass through your head, leaving small branching spaces that take a few seconds to close. Diopside talks about tungsten. The procedure to extract it was much more demanding than this, since you had to drown yourself in molybdenum while Diopside turned you thousands of times. Diopside advises.
(Diopside) Oh and about that tungsten... We already squeezed out everything we could squeeze out. You have a certain talent for handling metals, but not even Kunzite can control such a heavy element, so you better not even try. (...) 0.5% of your mass is tungsten, it will be like that for about 2 or 3... Yes, 300 years.
>It's a long time, longer than you were alive. But many other gems are double or even five times that age. You might think that the volume of metal is small, but then when you remember your weight you find a result that is around 250 kilograms. If approximately 1 kilogram is going to accompany you for so long, it is pertinent to visit Andalucita to ensure that there are no problems when fighting. Diopside is already removing the sponge that covers you, she uses a ladder to slightly shake the hook where your rope hangs. Below, the cube is filled with metal in layers and colors.
(Diopside) Should I do an alloy test with you...?
(Heliodor) Teacher.
(Heliodor) Teacher, role, teacher.
>The Heliodor twins entered through the front door. They carry nothing but themselves and a message. You've trained with them for a long time, but it's still impossible to tell them apart right away when they appear. The Heliodor's movements are slightly scary. 50 and 57 usually stop each other from strong clashes between their hands. But, they cannot break each other. One by one, they provide the information they needed to communicate to Diopside, she engages you. The heliodors come forward and try to untie you and stop your drainage. Diopside does not stop such an unwise act, she seems to be somewhat envious of your next gift.(Heliodors) Fluorite requires the presence of Grossularia. Gross, gross. She will have a prize. They will give you a gift.
(Diopside) Really? And there is nothing for me...?

The extra chapter of Almandine is called Surrender is a crime

https://youtu.be/nVHWuT3iQo4?si=xo3XQTQPRQFZkQL6The next chapter will be in winter, I said it before. But it will take a timeskip of about 5 or 10 years.
The name of chapter 11 is: End of the world (failed), Scarlet apparition, Moon II
The extra shifts may be a little longer to better set this little timeskip.

Since now the chapter is over, (>>8812) two weeks ago was the anniversary of the role, if you want to chat at the finish line, give your opinion or ask questions it wouldn't be bad.

The ones he showed you were 20 or 30 centimeters. But she is capable of making them life-size, although without setting.
The replicas can move their mouths, but they do not make a sound. If Kunzite tries to get them to talk the result would be a light vibration, like the waves of (>>8607)
And she doesn't imitate the Kek voices either, although she may miss the dialogue that she believes they would have in a very low voice and without Kunzita realizing it.

>Kunzita was right, Anatasa was in the infirmary and her pieces were not coming together correctly. Andalucita would have a long repair session with her after kicking the already blue Sapphire out of the same room. There was something you could fear, perhaps it was mentioned by Diopside or Andalucita herself, the possibility that the gems do not want to be repaired and their pieces do not come together completely, is something that could happen to Mystic Topaz. But, luckily they repaired Anatasa when the full patrol ended. Fluorite had been in charge of intercepting Sapphire when she left the medical area and there was no one better than the leader to deliver the bad news. Turmaline had left a legacy, but not one of metal as Kunzite would have wanted, but one of beautiful plants throughout the entire island. At sunset Axinita was in charge of evaluating the state of Turmalina's garden, helping Grosularia and Citrino. When night came Anatasa went to rest in her room, Axinita's evaluation said that those flowers required weekly care from other gems, and those could only be Anatasa or you. The next day, the day passed without any patrols, the diamonds took care of it. Instead, you had to take care of collecting information from Watermelon Tourmaline together with Axinite, like once in the past. You didn't hear from Anatasa all day, but while you were organizing new types of plants in Místico's work area, you received a visitor. It's getting dark, you can already see the light effect of the crystals along the garden. Padparadscha's shadow barely moves his head as his expressions harden.
(Padparadscha) I found her spying on me and yelled at her. That spodumena doesn't know what it's like to lose a partner. After all, she was always under Onix's care, she has never been separated from her mentor and she has never fought until she lost some important part of herself. Kunzite has only been developed as a winter gem.
>Padparadscha finished patrolling and came to see you. At first she mentioned that she had no specific reason to visit you, but it was clear that she wanted to know your actions the day after Tourmaline disappeared. She never shows her reasons, but, when you spoke to Kunzita she said that Padparadscha had explained them. When superficially asking about that interaction with Kunzita, Padparadscha recounted everything without holding back. Pad despises Kunzite because of her poor vision when it comes to the lost gems. It seems that, what Kunzita took to be Padparadscha's gentle ideals was nothing more than a scolding which she reimagined. Padparadscha is tactless when it comes to criticizing other gems, only Fluorite sometimes. Pad expressed gravely.
(Padparadscha) I told him that: None returns. No one who has lost 70% of their mass in a single round has ever come back and you are a fool for telling me I could see them again. (...) I don't need to ask for any opinions, it's just stupid. The only way to see them again is to remember the day of their kidnapping, nothing more.
>She has no hope of recovering any gems from the crust, she only observes the moment when all those broken gems were lost. Padparadscha gives his opinion and ends his life point with a full stop. Due to his character, it is impossible to change his way of seeing things, especially when you know how he thinks about yours. Padparadscha began to say the years in which he lost combat gems, such as 299304, when Sapphire and Chrysoberyl left, or 299792 with Alexandrite, Benedict and Howlite. Then, as he took a few vague steps toward the entrance to the room, Padparadscha changed the subject. She turned and asked about your age, considering something with her arms crossed.
(Padparadscha) Taaffeíta, um, you? How old are you already...? Maybe it's time to explain something to you, Kunzite and maybe Anatasa. About Fluorite-
(Anatasa) …>The door to Mystic's work area opened and behind Padparadscha the silhouette of Anatasa appeared. The light from outside creates a certain shadow that is projected up to a few meters from where you are. Padparadscha was instantly aware of her presence, but after looking at her, she said nothing to him. Even Pad had cut off his words when Anatasa appeared. It's clear that, although an intense gem, Padparadscha still plays by the rules. Fluorite is probably the origin of this lack of communication between the two, with a prohibition or recommendation.
(Padparadscha) (...) It will be another time.
>Padparadscha sighed and ended the conversation with simple words. As she approached her weapon that she had left at the entrance to the garden, Anatasa only followed her with his gaze. It seems that Padparadscha is ready to go through the open area to the outside. Anatasa has new clothes, recently made or repaired by Rubí, but she does not have a weapon or any object on her. Anatasa, and only her, has come to look for you after a long day of absence. When Padparadscha left, Anatasa fixed her gaze on you and said.
(Anatasa) Taaffeita, sorry.

>It is huge and red, some black dots remain static while others take on more complex shapes and can even move slightly. But, there are certain spots that pass quickly and which Axinita has little luck finding. The large lens is 3 times the size of a gem, but slowly it shrinks cylinder by cylinder to concentrate the image in a single glass circle in which you must bend your neck to observe correctly. You are in the already finished observatory, the inauguration was several weeks ago, and many other weeks before that, the loss of a green and red gem. But, Rubí prefers that you keep your thoughts at bay regarding that topic, since there were many other things to do before returning to patrol with Taaffeíta. It was not Rubí who suggested your visit to this building again, it was Antofilita. But, Axinite, the gem in charge of the observatory and the library has kidnapped you to do astronomical activities even when it is daytime. And you're supposed to be late.
(Axinite) Haven't you seen, Sapphire? How come you've never stared at him for an hour! Don't be afraid, the only thing that can happen is that your retinas crack. Nothing else! (...) Come closer, come closer. Eh-
>She can't push your head where she wants you to place your eye, Axinita would break, but her words and her encouragement are a firm force that forces your eyes to observe something you cannot understand. There are rare times that a pyroclastic can break your eyes, it generally only happens with bombs. You had no idea that an activity as simple as looking at an image through a hole would also be just as dangerous. Axinite moves her hands into fists continuously while encouraging you to continue observing the sun, until a real, and not idyllic, one takes your head away from the observation point. Bort cracked your forehead slightly as he pulled you out of the telescope. Axinita didn't take long to ask him.
(Axinite) Oh, Bort, do you also want to observe the sun with this super telescope? It's strange, you've never been here before. But the stars do not discriminate against any type of gem! (...) Ah! Where are you two going??
(Bort) There's a book I need to read, from the first floor! And I don't know how to read, Zafiro does, she will help me!! It's... about... white and blue bodies.>At Axinita's statement, Bort closed his eyes very tightly as if he were trying to think intensely about how to get out of this situation. Without saying anything, Bort crouched down, wrapped his right arm around your waist and then got up to run away. Axinita saw all this with surprise and asked while she couldn't let go of the telescope base. Bort shouted as he walked down the steps carrying you to the side. Combat gems tend to have some re-education, so Bort most likely knows how to read a little, not so well, and that last bit worked as an excuse. Only when Bort confused the celestial bodies with blue bodies and the white bodies did Axinite lighten her expression and smile as she realized that they will learn about stars. (...) They are on the first floor of the observatory, which is a place not very different from the library, but much more closed. Next to you are several shelves that you know very well. After setting you down in this area, Bort revealed while giving you a vote of confidence.
(Bort) That's right, I'm the reinforcement. I told Protomanganoferroanthophyllite that he can count on me, and now you can count on me too, Sapphire!
>Anthophyllite wanted you to come to the observatory again, because they would have the chance to talk to Uranocircite again. But, Antofilita ended up very badly after a short irradiation, so she had some insecurity. To counteract that, Antofilita mentioned getting an assistant, someone who could convey her ideas. You could never imagine that the gem that little Anthophyllite sent would be the largest and strongest of the diamonds, Black Diamond. But, it is not entirely strange, Antofilita has the dream of making best friends and her personality is quite compatible with that of this diamond. There is a huge wooden barrel that lies eerily still in the middle of all these books. Bort explains as he begins to carry said object, it seems heavy, but not so heavy for the diamond.
(Bort) The evaluations of Anthophyllite that derive from the evaluations of Aragonite that derive from those of Diopside say that if we bathe in lead continuously the radiation will not affect us. So… Let's go for that interview!
>The door that connects to the tunnel to the Uranus Cave is hidden. Next to a dark-colored bookshelf, where the trap door goes unnoticed. Since Bort is carrying all the lead necessary to avoid the radiation, it seems that it will be up to you to decide whether to open or destroy the door and guide you both through that underground structure.

>Anatasa's repair was still in progress when he went to see her
>I didn't see it appropriate to assault her with questions while this was happening and I didn't want to interrupt Andalucita's work either.
>Because of that he decided that it would be best to postpone his talk with her and leave Anatasa alone with her thoughts for now.
>Leucosapphire is also another new gem who has just experienced the loss of someone for the first time.
>So it would also be necessary to talk to her when the time is more opportune.
>At the moment Taaffeita could only limit himself to observing from afar and then withdraw

No, he doesn't know about that... So that's how it is...

>It seemed a bit uncomfortable for him to talk about this topic with Padparadscha given how diametrically opposed his opinion is compared to Kunzita's.
>Although vaguely, Taaffeita understood how both were able to reach these conclusions.
>So he did not see himself able to deny the point of view of either of the two
>And because of that the answers he gave to Padparadscha were limited to simply nodding and agreeing with him.
>Kunzita doesn't know what it's like to lose someone in combat, that's true, but Taaffeita wouldn't call that trait a negative thing.>Padparadscha is pessimistic about the idea of recovering others, that is a thought that Taaffeita herself has had but that she tries not to think about
>This whole conversation only makes him think that he was not wrong when it came to warning Kunzita
>Since Padparadscha certainly qualifies as someone who does not like the idea of seeing replicas of her fallen companions

Huh? 150 or more Maybe? I haven't been keeping track, honestly...

>Due to her work, Taaffeita must be more attentive to the passage of time
>However, this is limited only to knowing how long each season lasts and the growth time of each plant.
>As well as superficially recording the life span of some animal species
>All of these are things that are limited to a few days, months or years, a period too short for any other gem to even notice.
>That ability caused his counting of long stretches of time to become less and less accurate.
>Hence he is not even able to know his age exactly.

Anatasa... Do you want to accompany me to the garden?

>He said goodbye to Padparadscha and turned his gaze towards Anatasa to check her condition.
>For obvious reasons she looked downcast so Taaffeita approached her and looked at her for a moment.

I'm sure the sun is yellow... or orange. But this glass is red. Didn't you aim it wrong? Or is it a fake sun?
>Axinita was right, she had never stared at the sun for more than half an hour, much less up close, but even she knew what the sun looked like from afar and the image in the lens did not match, making her doubt.
Why does the sun shine a different color when you see it up close? Gems don't do that.
>She had to think a lot about what she said and still she wasn't sure if it was true. It was a more entertaining idea than staying in one place looking at the same point in the sky.
Yes... Bort came here for me although he never does it has to be important- Oh!
>She imagined some explanation for the diamond since it seemed content to kidnap her without giving one, but she was distracted by how unusual it felt to go down the stairs without touching the floor. The perspective reminded him of an imaginary scenario in which a gem fell down the stairs and broke a little with each step until it ended up in pieces at the bottom.
That was fun, hopefully I'll need reinforcement again soon.
>She touched the ground with her feet again, wishing that the observatory had more stairs so that the experience of being carried would last longer. It was surprising that someone would wear it like that, because only a few gems, like other corundums and diamonds, could do something like that, and fewer would actually do it if they had the chance. Only in her imagination could she see Rubí carrying her in the same way, it was incongruent with her way of being.
Do I have to bathe?
>The idea terrified him. Bathing involved covering yourself in a lot of liquid, and that usually caused your dye to dissolve. If cats weren't extinct, I could say I hated water more than they did.
Interview...? Okay, let's go.
>The word Bort used puzzled her a little, but the possibility of losing her color to other gems made her too uncomfortable to add anything, she would just go do what Filita wanted her to do when he called her there.

What was it about the defect or mutation in Dioptasa's eyes that you ruled out writing in the first chapter of Sapphire? Did you explain how those "mutations" happen in Gems that cause some to grow pointy ears, horns, wings, or tails, or are you going to do that in Almandine's story?

>Despite their appearance, their enormous play activity, and the several times they have gotten into trouble, heliodors are adept at getting you off the hook that has you hanging. As an activity that Diopside may have repeated with Kunzite or another gem that has the ability to manipulate metal. Diopside looked very intrigued about the gift you will receive. You and the little heliodors share some of that same intrigue. On the way to the main hall on the first floor of the Academy, the Heliodores are distracted by commenting, theorizing and playing.
(Heliodor 50) Sister, what will Fluorite give to little Grosularia?
(Heliodor 57) Her gift is a warm hug wrapped in hundreds of winter pillows, with marine shapes, like the ones Benitoíta made.
(Heliodor 50) No, that can't be it! His gift is that “slap.” That thing Ruby did to Padparadscha once. It is a special activity, an intimate activity!
>Because of the gesture that 50 made when he illustrated that activity, it seemed like some kind of blow. But whatever you're going to win, the Heliodors don't know. That's why they walk much faster. You can already recognize each of the Heliodor after a moment of listening to them talk. While Heliodor 57 maintains a neutral and serene vision, Heliodor 50 always tends to be rougher and more active. It is impossible not to recognize their ways of acting, because after all, they were your teachers, responsible for 70% of your learning with the sword. Heliodor 57 tilts his head to the side as he speaks directly to you.
(Heliodor 57) You've become popular, Gross. Andalusite, Aragonite, Diopside, and now Fluorite also want you with it.
(Heliodor 50) Did you neglect your training in exchange for fame?>Heliodor 50 stepped in front and started walking backwards while questioning your training. Lately they have not been able to meet patrol schedules and that means several years of not fighting or seeing the Heliodores fight. 57's smile slowly fades as they approach the main hall and she has to return to your side. Fluorite is there waiting with an object wrapped in a white blanket on the table (...)
(Fluorite) Emm, I thought you would like it…
>Heliodor 50 immediately drew his sword and Heliodor 57 covered his face so as not to observe anymore. This has been known for a long time, but for a leader, Fluorite doesn't have much tact or what is known as common sense. That thing that rests on the table and what is supposed to be your gift is actually the head of a gem. Its mineral is yellow, like Citrine, but unlike your companion, there are certain violet parts that are hidden behind its hair, and much more present in the fragments that surround the head. She is a very small gem, you can recognize her by her features and size, she looks like Anthophyllite in that aspect. The Heliodors got over their surprise before you and gathered behind you. Their murmurs were not particularly quiet, but having the same voice and being unable to see them, you cannot identify them.
(Heliodores) What a bad gift. It's a surprise, but only for Groos and Citrino. I don't want any gifts anymore. Grossularia has bad luck, don't hang out with her anymore, sister.
(Fluorite) Could you bring Citrino here this time? Please?
>Fluorite leaned to the side and asked the gems behind you. Immediately the Heliodores returned to the front making a pose with their hands straight above their heads. Although without the enthusiasm of discovering a secret gift, they would fulfill their task looking for Citrino. The fact that Fluorite has requested the presence of your companion here does not seem to be a coincidence, since the pieces of gem lying on the table somewhat resemble her. Fluorite explains while covering Ametrino 12's head back.
(Fluorite) She used to be Ametrine 12. She was kidnapped 690 years ago. Ametrino 12 had many things in common with Citrino, but what differentiated it from Ametrino 49 (Citrino) connects it to you. Ametrino 12 was capable of receiving radio waves through reverberation on its inclusions.

>What was it about the defect or mutation in Dioptasa's eyes that you ruled out writing in the first chapter of Sapphire?
It is still present, Axinite, Uranocircite, Kunzite have it, Ametrine used to have it.
>Did you explain how those "mutations" happen in Gems that cause some to grow pointy ears, horns, wings, or tails, or are you going to do that in Almandine's story?
I didn't explain it, I think I just touched on it. Although I detail a little more about Dioptase's turn with Grossularia.

I call it Coupling deformation or Coupling Zones. It works simply. Gems can be put back together by sticking parts together just seconds from being destroyed. Example: Benitoíta returning her arms to their place during fights, Alexandrita repairing others.
That only happens because the inclusions remember their location in the body and act like the real glue. The glue used in the medical area is only temporary, so that the gem material remembers that it has the ability to join again.

Deformities occur because the body can mistakenly detect a lack of mineral where, in reality, it is not needed. That is, if part of your mineral covers that area, it will most likely join that place and consolidate, even if it is not the correct shape of the body. The deformation effect has a limit, between 5-8 centimeters maximum. And it can be approached in many ways. For example, if Sapphire's nose is an attachment zone, chances are that when you touch it with your hand for a while, a part of your hand will break off and become what your body thinks your nose should be, a longer nose. But a coupling zone on the face is something that can be easily dealt with, as it has the protective layer of resin and because hardly any of your mineral will touch your nose for a long time.

For this reason, it is more common for gems like Ametrine and Uranocircite to have had long ears, because their hair is always in contact with them and eventually their material ends up joining there, just like the horns that the Red Diamonds would have had. Axinite has the attachment zone on its back, but that is easy to hide and difficult to form.

Ametrine got rid of this effect when it became Citrine, and Kunzite got it from the presence of its alloy, I guess. I can always explain a change like that if I relate it to the changes in his body, its composition, not the size.

>Also
Tomorrow I respond to Taaffeíta and Sapphire. These will possibly be the last shifts I send until Monday, because I will be traveling for a couple of days. Fractella will also be on hiatus.

>Padparadscha was able to fight so intensely even with such a negative view of her destroyed companions. As if the secret of his enormous strength was almost total detachment. But, this goes against the teachings of Aragonite to control strength and silica, where a certain patience and fullness is required. Padparadscha can barely see Anatasa, surely he was denied a word towards her. After Anatasa's big eyes landed on the pink gem as she left, they now landed on you. They tremble slightly at not receiving a response to their apology, but Anatasa accepts anyway.
(Anatasa) Okay…
>She lowered her head to observe the step they must cross towards the garden, but that gesture on her seems to be one that she could currently repeat. The garden is not made to Mistico's vision, as some areas for animals have been reduced and others focused on plants and flowers have increased. The color of the flowers, their height, how familiar they are to Anatasa, are something you can choose for her to see when following you. But, along the way, Anatasa would not remain silent, she admitted.
(Anatasa) I was listening... Is it true that Tourmaline has completely disappeared? What Padparadscha said, that no gem would return after losing so much mineral in the Crust. Do you think that too...?
>After all, you hadn't heard her footsteps shortly before she opened the door. The fact that you were talking to Padparadscha surely made her hesitate about visiting you or not. Anatasa asks about everything that Padparadscha explained just a few minutes ago. Anatasa asks you, still unable to take the pink gem's words as law. And about the apologies, Anatasa elaborated slightly.
(Anatasa) I failed, I couldn't even recover 5% of what was Tourmaline. It's my fault- But, I didn't apologize for that. I've ruined a lot of things before Tourmaline was taken, and especially some things that mattered to you.
>Anatasa cut off her charge. Kunzita had analyzed Anatasa's feelings to a certain extent, with what she told you. But, Anatasa did not delve much further into her lack of strength to protect Tourmalina. Anatasa suddenly focused on something as irrelevant as the slight environmental impact it caused a few months ago. Anatasa apologized to you regarding what directly involved you, and not about what happened with Turmalina, that action revealed some of her ideas. Suddenly, after observing enough plants which you took care of, Anatasa stopped you.
(Anatasa) This was always your purpose, right, Taaffeíta? You protect the crystalline earth because by doing so you also protect the living beings of Mystic Topaz. Is that why you try so hard and do what you do?>She raised her head and asked, trying to observe your face. His eyes change color between light and dark yellow. Such a question went beyond the purpose of combat gems, protecting others out of simple duty. Although she seemed certain in a certain premise, Anatasa unconsciously tilted her head, emphasizing her ignorance.
(Anatasa) I can't understand it. Nor could I understand the beauty that Tourmaline saw in all those landscapes, or what he found in a gem as broken as Tanzanite. She left without telling me.
>As she let go of you, Anatasa's right hand barely moved until she was able to catch it with her left hand. Holding the back of that hand and then his wrist, Anatasa revealed a trembling fist with grip marks. Although there is no object she is holding, Anatasa seems to apply the same force to achieve it. Anatasa's eyes changed their color again, and so did her hair. Anatasa was trying to observe the ground, while asking, but towards the end, she exclaimed when she saw your face from the corner of her eye.
(Anatasa) Why should I feel this way when I remember her? And every time I remember her, why do I imagine her in places where she shouldn't be? Even now-! (...) The sound of my inclusions terrifies me, Taaffeíta. I don't want to break...
>Watermelon Tourmaline, by training Anatasa as a combat gem, she also managed to develop as a gem. She lost her long hair as a replacement for experience to fill combat holes. Anatasa began to grind, seeing a similar quality not so far from where she is. The sound is increasing and comes mainly from the upper part of your body.

>Axinita did not follow them, despite making a huge noise and sharing their weight when going down the stairs with the possibility of breaking them. Even though she is in charge of the library, Axinita is quite flexible, much more so when she takes an interest in what she is passionate about. Bort found the door that separates the observatory from the tunnel to the radiation. Fortunately he didn't break it when he opened it. Before embarking on that outward journey of alteration, Bort commented on his little friend.
(Bort) Ferroanthophyllite needs many more friends, that is its mission as a gem, its real job. But, you can't have friends if you don't know them properly or something... That's why he gave me a list of questions to get to know Uranocircite much better.
>It is a parchment, it is very far from the simple and efficient style that Diopside has for making paper. Many questions to ask Uranocircite are detailed there, but you can't read any of them because Bort is about to push you into the tunnel if you don't take the initiative. After putting it away, Bort took the huge lead container and went behind you. (...)
(Bort) Don't be afraid! You should fear Uranocircite radiation much more, it is capable of completely altering you.
>Although the tunnel is not too deep, it appears not to be as stable as Antofilita claimed with its strange structure. A new flow of lead ran over your head and made it impossible to open your right eye for a few seconds. Lead is too heavy, it's not like water that flows quickly over your surface. But that quality is one you could partially thank, as it means that your resin isn't completely cleaned off when Bort pours the metal on you. You can walk along the rocky, illuminated path, but eventually the terrain changes and you must be careful not to knock down the wooden beams that support the weight of the earth. Towards the end the green glow announces that they are close to the cave, but Antofilita couldn't work much in this part of the tunnel so the exit is quite rudimentary.
(Bort) It's... very narrow. Ah-! What's that? (...) It disintegrated...
>Something grabbed Bort when he tried to get out of the hole, it was like a crystal spike that could change shape. From Bort's size, it was obvious that it would take many more seconds for her to get out, but you wouldn't expect something to hold her down. The hardness of quartz is only 7, while that of a diamond is 10, it was nothing for her to accidentally break what set her back. The cave is quite wide, where they came out was on a gray shore that barely reflects the green glow. There are several stalactites that dissipate the green color of the bottom towards the pond where Uranocircite should be. But although the color comes from that side, the appearance of its silhouette may have scared you. Upon seeing Uranocircite, Bort immediately took out the paper with the questions, but it began to blacken to the point that the letters could not be distinguished. Seeing you, bathed in metal, with part of your blue resin removed, Uranocircite acted immediately.
(Uranocircite) Go away, get out of here, Sapphire! You've already lost all your color... It's going to happen again, like with that violet gem. (...) If you want to forget something, forget me, in the traditional way.
>Apparently the traditional way is to simply not visit it. Uranus mistook your lack of color as an alteration. She moved further away from you to lessen the effect and thus ended up in the green water that covers beyond her waist. Bort was finally able to get out by breaking part of the entrance, but it cost him to destroy his list of questions. Anyway, Bort took some lead and poured it on you, then poured more on herself and walked over to where Uranusirite.
(Bort) Antofilita asks: "Have you thought of any efficient communication method? One with which I can talk to you regularly" That was question number 9.
(Uranocircite) Who are you...?
>At first, Uranocircite's question seemed to be a joke. But, then you might remember how Bort had a hypothetical change in appearance 202 years ago. After all, although it has not grown, like the heliodors, Uranocircite is a 344-year-old gem. A very disconnected from everything that happens on the surface and may not remember Bort.

I don't know...>He turned slightly towards Anatasa the moment she began to speak.
>The question he asked was one he hoped he wouldn't have to answer.
>Taaffeita has heard Padparadscha make that same statement on more than one occasion
>And in all of them Taaffeita simply turned a deaf ear to this
>Even right now she doesn't want to think of an answer, but given Anatasa's state she can't just stay silent.
>Taaffeita would like to believe that it is possible to see again all the gems that once fell
>But she really has no idea if her efforts will ever be rewarded.
>And he is also unable to think of a better answer to give Anatasa

Here, plant that there, I'm doing this because I don't want Mystic Topaz's efforts to go to waste.

>While Anatasa continued to lament, Taaffeita crouched low to the ground
>He then began to dig a small hole in the ground
>After getting up he took a flower pot, sprinkled it with a little water and asked Anatasa to replant it.
>Once he pointed out the right place, he proceeded to clarify his reason for taking care of the garden.

Tourmalina also liked plants, right? I can't give you an answer as to how Tourmaline felt about those things, but maybe if you experience them for yourself you can get an idea of what she thought.

>Taaffeita started this work out of a sense of responsibility
>He felt guilty for the loss of Mystic Topaz and wanted to be able to make up for his mistakes.
>A part of her continues to carry that regret, while another finds some enjoyment in this activity
>Perhaps that enjoyment is the same that mystic Topaz felt every time he planted a new plant or saw the birth of a new animal.
>Just as he cannot decipher the feelings of Watermelon Tourmaline, he is still unable to fully understand those of Mystic Topaz.
>But at least by doing this he is able to feel a little closer to her and her way of thinking.
>And perhaps that is what Anatasa needs to do, which is why Taaffeita invites him to participate in the garden.

If you are truly sorry then work to make up for it, you can remain as a combat gem and accept the risk of breaking or you can become a botanical gem just like Watermelon Tourmaline. Doing both at the same time is also an option, but it's up to you to choose.

>I'd be lying if I said she wasn't still a little upset about what she did in the garden
>But if he keeps Anatasa away from him then he will never be able to make up for all the damage he did.
>So with that idea in mind he proposes a possible new path for her.
>A gem of hardness 6 has a greater risk of breaking in combat and after what she has seen, it is normal for her to be scared by it
>For a moment Taaffeita considers that perhaps it would be better for her to retire from this job.
>However, he quickly realizes that the person who must make that decision is none other than Anatasa.

Don't worry, you don't have to respond now.

>As a gem with a goal, and one of the rare hybrids like Aragonito who did academic and other more physical jobs that required toughness, Philita had qualities that she saw as respectable and gave her more reasons to want to help her befriend a difficult-to-communicate gem like Circita, she could use the help now that one of her sisters had gone to the crust and reduced the number of possible friends.
What else could he be afraid of?
>The first thing he thought about when Bort assumed that she would be afraid was Circita's radiation, so hearing that she should be very afraid of him would have the opposite effect of what the diamond possibly wanted, if he was not playing with her and doing it with intentions.
Circita said that there is a lot of light in the caves. Shouldn't you be more afraid of the dark? If you fall asleep please try not to crush me.
>The second thing he assumed that could scare some gems was the lack of light, they all tended to avoid poorly lit places since it was the light that gave them energy, and being without it put them in trouble.>The hardest and brightest gems tolerated the lack of light worse, so it made sense that a corundum and a diamond would not want to be found in that darkness, something that did not occur to her until Bort mentioned it, and she began to think of embarrassing scenarios in which she would end up shattered under the weight of the large diamond inside the passageways of Philita.
Maybe they're quartz, sometimes they stick into Circita, you shouldn't have so many problems with that.
>I imagined that if she also lived in a cave, as she had sometimes thought, the quartz would be just as irrelevant, perhaps they would do Circita a favor if they broke them, assuming that the pieces would not later get stuck in her feet.
Oh no!
>Circita's exaggerated reaction and her way of appearing spontaneously surprised her, she used that as an impulse to imitate the green gem's tone of imminent danger, but stopped herself. Circita had surpassed even Green Diamond in level of nervousness, she was afraid that if she told her something that worried her more she would scare her away, and they wouldn't be able to ask her questions or help Philita become her friend then. Were those nerves a common quality in green gems? At least Diopside seemed like a calmer gem, and there was also Watermelon...
I just took a metal bath.
>He explained his appearance to reassure.
I'm still the same color as always under this.
>And the same color as always under the dye.
Antofilita wants us to ask you some questions, we are not here to forget something.
>Although the idea of only turning into Sapphire through exposure to radiation was still in her mind, she hadn't gotten to the point where she wanted to try it right away, and the fact that Circita herself believed that its glow would take away her color instead of turning her just blue discouraged her somewhat.
This is Bo...rt. Of the diamonds. Isn't it noticeable? (...) Do I look so strange with this metal on top?
>He decided not to use a shorter name for the diamond so as not to confuse Circita further, not knowing the interviewers could delay the interview and he did not want to waste time before starting.
>He wondered aloud if the lead bath was what prevented Circita from recognizing Bort, assuming that a cave gem would be used to low lighting and he turned to look at the diamond, he was not moved by what he saw.
Should I ask questions too? Because I don't have a role. (...) Ok. Circi. Be better than anyone else at something you like, have many friends or a nicer place to live. Which of those three things would you prefer? It's not Antofilita's question, I asked it.
>He decided to fill in the gaps left by the questions that Bort missed or skipped with the one he improvised; it wasn't the first time he had asked Circita questions.
Don't you mind being in there? That's not part of the interview, it's just that I don't like water, I wouldn't want to stay in that pond if I were you. I think there's room to move over there if you don't want to get close to me.

Shifts on Thursday (or Wednesday if I find time) and then just finish.

The new thread will be on the weekend I guess. I don't know what I should do with the initial text of the thread, about Ametrino 12, Anatasa, the atmosphere, about the gems of the Cortex, or maybe make a mini spoiler about the failed end of the world for the next chapter. What do you think? I opt for the last option This time there will be no thermal death situation, with Chrysocolla and Iron Kyanite

And also from what I read in Taaff's response, I think there will be an extra turn for Taaffeite and Sapphire to interact before the timeskip, because they are not going to talk about Tourmaline decades after kek has passed

I ran out of coherent illustrations that I usually use for threads, they were from a single artist. I hope to find something with a similar style soon ;_; Better if it has green tones

I only have this image that I saved by chance when I entered the role, it doesn't look like the ones you use nor do I think it looks good on OP.

Other questions. Don't Gems lose consciousness unless they break their head or torso? I don't remember if removing the pyroclast gem's legs and arms to keep her as a prisoner if we caught her was something I thought of or something a gem suggested in the role.

I just thought of another less interesting question because of these images I found. What is done with the clothes of the gems that are kidnapped? Is it saved in case they can be rescued before the same thing happens to the paper? Are Místico, Alexandrita and Sandia's clothes still around?

you are strange

Those were my first words after having remained silent throughout my "kidnapping" although I would call it more of a secret adventure and so far it had been the most impressive experience I had had since I became conscious.

You speak as if you were already dead or were going to die. Is this your last act of rebellion against the world?

I looked directly into Chrysocolla's eyes, letting my feelings and logic speak.

You don't care what they say or what they think of you, but it even seems like you don't care what happens to you.

You live in the present but you don't see the future

I don't know what things have been like for you and I may never understand what you've been through.

But that freedom sounds sad, lonely and lacking in purpose, although it is also tempting.

As the lights of the academy disappear into the horizon and the surrounding vegetation is changed by the yellow sands of the beach, I realize how small my home feels in comparison to the world... as if it were a cage to keep us away from the beauty and dangers of the outside.

My gaze descends to the ground, even she who seemed so different from the rest, compares me to 36

I know she doesn't do it with bad intentions, but it bothers me that they always compare me to her as if they wanted me to be nothing more than a copy of her but everyone knew well that I would never be more than that...a shadow

Why?

Why do others reduce me to a shadow?

Is it so difficult to separate myself from her?

Was I just born to be that? A copy of the fantastic 36?

If my life was going like this, I would have preferred to have been born as another type of gem or not have been born at all.

I don't want that eternal connection, I want others to like me for who I am, for MY virtues and defects, for MY successes and failures, living under expectations should be prohibited

I felt lighter after throwing away everything I had in my chest. I know that what Crisocola said couldn't give me an illuminating answer, but maybe I didn't need it.

I wanted just someone to listen to me and understand me in silence.

I followed Crisocola in her madness not because of a new vision, but because I wanted her to listen to me.

As we sailed in the water, I could not abandon my fear that in one wrong move or that the forces of the sea would make us be carried into the darkness of the ocean but at the same time I felt amazed by the calm and mysterious view that the sea gave at night.

Chrysocolla is easy to say but not to doOh, and I thought you didn't have a plan, that's good to hear.

I was silent for a few seconds after hearing his question, I thought and thought, I felt the answer on the tip of my tongue but it escaped me.

After several minutes of thinking, I came to a resolution

I would say that they are to gather information, information is power and with it you can dominate your environment and prepare for different scenarios, although from what I have seen I would say that it is to fill a void

We live for a long, long, long time, our existence does not seem to have much more meaning outside of doing academic things, studying, and defending ourselves from pyroplasts.

I believe that without something to do we would become distorted not in a physical sense but in a mental one, having strange thoughts that would lead to dangerous thoughts and finally dangerous acts, which would eventually lead to the downfall of our community.

>Anatasa extended her palms to receive the pot, but it took her several seconds to move her hands forward. Her gaze was fixed on the object you were holding; you still couldn't let go because obviously, it would drop if she didn't apply a certain amount of force. Suddenly, a sound of broken crystal, very small, less resonant than a battle fracture. Anatasa immediately brought both hands to her left eye. A layer of the iris, undecided between black or yellow, cracked, but Anatasa quickly tried to put it back in place and succeeded.
(Anatasa) I'm sorry-! Never... Never was I... so fragile.
>She took the pot in her hands. Anatasa now has her left eye yellow, without variations. She gave the explanations out of inertia, because after you answered her words with an action, Anatasa suffered a small break. With the plant in her hands, Anatasa silently observed the hole. She couldn't linger longer than it took her to receive the object. Anatasa opened her mouth slightly and made a slight movement with her chest. Like all animals during a breath. Anatasa then crouched, but with an expression different from generalized guilt. It takes a long time, but while Anatasa prepares the soil to plant, her expression softens very slowly. She explains something.
(Anatasa) Sometimes, seeds crystallize small faces trapped in glass shards. And those seeds that germinate in that area, their garden, sprout their first leaves with arm shapes, small hands. T-tourmaline... The flowers that Turmaline cared for with special affection were always covered with a protective layer against the sun, imitating her.
>She stumbles when mentioning Turmalina, but only in words, for when planting she does a more than decent job. You know slightly those kinds of details since it was Turmalina herself who explained them once. But, it seems to be a phenomenon that happens more frequently to her and not to you, or formerly to Mistico. Anatasa does not have a seed that doubtfully reflects a face or recalls any part of the body, let alone one that reminds her directly of Turmalina. Still, it seems that the simple act of planting connects certain memories. When Anatasa stood up and looked at you, she had a much less afflicted expression.
(Anatasa) It's illogical, her energy comes from sunlight. Why would she avoid it by covering herself with an umbrella? Is it illogical, right? Taaffeite.
>Her smile hides a certain sadness. The same premise could apply to Turmalina and her way of creating shade. When Anatasa asks you if you think the same, she is already approaching. It was a surprise, because no gem establishes contact so directly. Anatasa buried her face in your right shoulder and took the sides of your arms with both hands. Being of lesser hardness, inevitably Anatasa creaked. You are no longer able to see her expression. When Anatasa returns to the topic they were discussing, the one that broke her, she reminds you.
(Anatasa) Taaffeite, you've already gone through something like this... Are you really... do I only have those options to get rid of this feeling? Were you strong enough to choose something like that, accept its work, and forget about her...?
>Her touch is slightly trembling on your arms. Anatasa's hair is soft; although short, it molds to the shape of where she's touching, your chin and partially your neck. Anatasa's embrace is rough; the touch and her weight encompass the sensation. But, beyond her slight break, the sound her hands and head make carries a certain warmth. You can't explore that sense further because Anatasa releases your left arm and drags her forehead downward. She assumed that posture again, holding something to her chest with her right hand. Her grip tightened as she exclaimed.
(Anatasa) I want to decide! Right now! But I can't because I still have that idea in my heart. That I'll be just as strong or intelligent as you, that I can be your partner despite my hardness.
>Anatasa began to let go of you, slightly; every movement of her fingers implied a small sound. Her hair is now disheveled and her face remains bowed; you can only faintly see the glint in her eyes as she tries to pull away. Regarding what she says, although Anatasa has trained with Diamonds, she hasn't formed a pair with any of them, only with Tourmaline who had a hardness of 7. Although they are contemporaries, the rhythm of their training is different, a difference almost on par with their hardness.
(Anatasa) As the centuries passed and you trained with Padparadscha, I realized something like that would never happen. But even though it was clear, I couldn't abandon that dream, so I just delegated that desire and treated it as games and jokes. I deceived with "magic" to feel closer to you, but that led to nothing, quite the opposite... (...) The Tourmaline I loved is now in the crust.
>She defined herself; Anatasa denied the magic and gathered the results that had given her the same. She is no longer emitting any smoke, or even the black liquid you once saw emanate from her. She evaluated that what she was doing harmed you, and even worse, was a factor in taking Tourmaline away. Anatasa's expression darkened after saying the last thing. Unable to maintain the flow of those thoughts, Anatasa slammed her head against you again. There was no crunch or scratch; Anatasa just pressed harder.
(Anatasa) I love you, Taaffeite, I believe in you. Tell me to abandon all that nonsense so I can choose correctly. Otherwise, if I take that time, Turmaline's legacy...
>The situation is similar to one from long ago. Mystic Topaz had many animals, and despite the efforts of Axinite and Watermelon Tourmaline, they couldn't care for them all. Leaving them free wasn't an option either, as the impact they would have on the environment was unknown. Tourmaline has now left hectares of flowered fields and areas she used to cultivate and reproduce her plants. Many of those plants, without proper care, will rot, and some others will be lost forever.

Of course I won't, I control the unconscious. My training goes beyond the mineral, toward the dreamlike! But— that information was supposed to be restricted to diamonds and rubies only. Forget everything.
>You don't fully understand that complicated word; it sounds like something Dioptase or another library gem would say. You might have forgotten it, but Bort's following remark will make this memory far more memorable. Bort, on the other hand, is convinced that with a simple command you'll forget that information, and continues moving forward (...) The ground is gray, probably made of sand and mud. All colors within this place suffer some alteration, as if placed under a filter that cancels certain frequencies. It's quite humid; from the stalactites, you can occasionally observe small flashes that might be interpreted as droplets of water or liquid falling. Carbonate formations are abundant—Uranocircite seems to use them to divide her cave into different areas. The presence of "painful quartz" comes from the east, in the walls. They are pyramidal crystals with hexagonal bases, growing over one another to form branches and clusters. You thought you saw one emerge from the wall in an instant; even the displaced earth is sliding across the floor. They're capable of surprising anyone, but Uranocircite pays little attention. She's still judging your explanations, finding enough reasons to believe them. Bort adds to your explanation while smearing another stroke of lead across you.
(Bort) I shattered a long time ago. All my beautiful, dazzling yellow was replaced with this black, a charming black. Don't you like it? It's captivating.
(Uranocircite) Why do you do that? You'll never truly change, even after thousands of years—let alone me.
(Bort) I didn't want it this way, a pyroclast...-
(Uranocircite) Why can't I know!?
>Uranocircite tries to understand, then comments on the color change—not an alteration. Bort continued her explanation until Uranocircite grew so agitated she began shouting, or so it seemed to you. Even Dioptase, with her soft green tone, can scream that loudly when she accused you that one time—definitely a constant. Bort shoved you when she grabbed the lead container and followed Uranocircite, who was turning away. You didn't fall or scratch yourself; when you regained your balance, you saw Bort about to pour a huge bucket of lead onto Uranocircite. Bort usually applies the metal gradually, since the speed at which it liquefies isn't slow. It looked as if the falling block of gray metal would destroy Uranocircite, but her radioactivity is so intense that the metal didn't just melt—it seemed to evaporate.
(Bort) Calm down, that's exactly what Anthophyllite wants to address. And I'm her assistant now—I can't fail.
(Uranocircite) (...) How long will you stay here?
>Blocking the source of radiation creates a cooling effect. As the liquid spreads over Uranocircite's head, the nausea momentarily fades, returning only at the end. Uranocircite isn't used to such a sensation, yet instead of overreacting, she didn't react at all. Bort seemed unable to give up. Uranocircite spent several seconds dripping lead until finally, with a neutral expression, she asked. Bort estimated only about 10 minutes left since they were already finishing the metal shield. Uranocircite answered your question with a cooler head.
(Uranocircita) It doesn't bother me…
>Uranocircite scans the cave with her eyes, moving them with a certain speed, as if expecting some kind of judgment. After averting her gaze, Uranocircite understood about the water and silently stepped out of the pool. The radiation increased slightly, but Bort was handling the mitigation. Uranocircite sat down on a rock, smoothing her skirt several times afterward. Seems to be a habit to avoid breaking herself.
(Uranocircita) Friends, but I wouldn't like to have "many" friends… (...) It would be a nuisance having so many, and all those Antophyllite wants are an impossible number. It can't be done. That's all.
>She turned to respond, but then, without giving you time to interpret her answer, Uranocircite linked the question to Antophyllite. The little gem's dream is quite impossible, but Uranocircite's choice is far more viable. Bort approached and Uranocircite replied about methods of communication. After all, it was a genuine question from Antophyllite.
(Uranocircita) If I start a conversation with a gem, she'll eventually want to come here and talk to me. It's dangerous.
(Bort) So you did think about ways to communicate?
(Uranocircita) …
>It's common that, after so many years locked away, she'd have had plenty of time to think about all this. Uranocircite seems to be a core of undiscovered information. But they didn't have much time left to ask, as the metal was growing increasingly scarce by the minute. Bort poured lead on you again and on her too; by this point your blue color has vanished, you're glowing green just like the cave and Uranocircite nearby. Bort returned to Uranocircite holding the black paper. Uranocircite takes a certain amount of time to respond to each part of the questionnaire.
(Bort) Now a round of questions Antophyllite didn't ask! What's your favorite color?
(Uranocircita) … Yellow
(Bort) What's your clothes made of, Urano?
(Uranocircita) Fiberglass, actinolite, tremolite, and soft materials. Benitoite made them for me.
(Bort) What's your favorite animal? Have you ever taken care of a plant? Are you interested in botany?
(Uranocircita) (...) How unpleasant.
(Bort) What do you do here besides work when you're bored? Do you train?
(Uranocircita) I like swimming. Sometimes I count from 1 to 100,000 until I fall asleep.
>Uranocircite's clothing can't be harder than she is or it would shatter, nor too soft or it would disintegrate—only one gem managed to find the perfect balance. When asked about living beings, Bort made a reference to Watermelon. Not even Uranocircite could remain unaware of an abduction; she responds with disgust. Finally, Uranocircite slightly hides her face when answering about her hobbies. She seems like an ordinary gem, with concerns, preferences, and recurring activities—except for just one difference from the others.

>Two gems have given you strange gifts this year, first Andalucite and the pieces of the former doctor, and now Fluorite with what is supposed to be the sister of your current companion. The neck does not have a clean cut, there are pieces that look like they are about to fall and roll on the table. And there are fragments that have already fallen. The yellow color is predominant, but there is also an internal violet that tinges the color of that gem towards gold. Fluorite circled the table without answering any of your questions, she did it with her eyes closed, completely calm. When she got between your vision and the object, she turned to cover her head again. The crystal rings and gathers at a nearby point, and the white cloth slides across the table, hiding 12 again. When Fluorite finished doing so, she still kept one of her hands on the table, her right one. She began with an unusual question.
(Fluorite) How are you able to distinguish Ametrine 12? Their colors, thinking of an approximate age range? All the images you capture are information, and then you process that same information within yourself to give an answer. React to these kinds of stimuli. But how is it really done? Animals use nerve networks, even plants through chemical imbalance, the answer is in the inclusions. If we were living beings, we would be the ones with greater energy efficiency, but we are mineral beings. Gems are memories, information that is stored in specific places and that our inclusions are able to connect.
>There is a mechanism that sends information through the inert and still material of a mineral, Fluorite refers to it as a direct product of the activity between inclusions. Every action that gems perform, such as moving or thinking, requires a certain energy consumption. Which is supposed to come from the sun, but Fluorite explains that the energy they receive from the star is very little, unlike what plants could receive, for example. Their activity is not completely linked to the presence or absence of light; instead, they seem to seek a certain autonomy. Fluorite watches you when you ask questions or when she addresses you directly, but when she explains, she normally closes her eyes. It seems she could mention many more details, but after establishing a weak connection with the sun, Fluorite takes a short pause. She brought her index finger to her face and gently touched her nose a couple of times, alluding to the supposed senses.
(Fluorite) Some inclusions are responsible for hearing, seeing, understanding, and feeling, while most are responsible for storing and processing information. Even if you were in darkness and only had the last two groups of inclusions, you would still be "conscious," which is known as a dream. But you know that only a few gems are capable of dreaming. Even when most of our inclusions could be dedicated to it. It's curious, impressive. But I consider the ability that Ametrine 12 and you have developed more impressive. You can feel more, experience things that other gems cannot. And a greater influx of information translates into better understanding with your memories. (...) Perhaps, not only your memories.
>It's similar to a class, like when you were little. The term "radio waves" isn't entirely unfamiliar; you might have heard it when they taught you about radioactive gems. Inclusions communicate with each other through vibrations, and it seems your vibrations are what cause you to hear certain things. Fluorite returned to her place, and when she lowered her gaze, you noticed a strange relief beneath the fabric covering. The hidden book is the one Dioptase referred to. Contrary to what the library gem said, this one isn't damaged—in fact, it appears to have been restored. You can understand why Fluorite started talking about such complicated things after showing you this item. But before you can ask her any questions, your companion's voice reaches you. Accompanied by both heliodors, Citrine arrives from behind the stairs. As soon as she approached, both heliodors pushed Citrine against you.
(Citrine) Hey, Gross..- Ah-!
(Heliodors) Companions reunited! Don't hurt each other, even if you're a garnet and a quartz. Sister, is that it? AHH! She's still here...
>It's a heavy-handed joke from your teachers. Citrine's head is pressed against your right cheek, just like her chest is pressed against your shoulder. Your hardness is slightly greater than Citrine's, so technically she should be the one getting scratched. Fortunately, there doesn't seem to be any effect—and that's exactly what one of the Heliodors enthusiastically points out. They stopped immediately upon noticing that Ametrine 12's head is still here. They really don't like the "gift" you received very much, but Citrine, who should be shocked, looks calm. (...) Citrine approached the table and placed her hand on the crystal lump. Due to the alterations it underwent, Citrine's memories were erased or modified. It's that same sensation she had before you fell into the polymetallic pit. She spoke to herself, then to Fluorite.
(Citrine) I don't remember Ametrine 12, and everything written in that book doesn't make much sense. But thanks for trying to interpret it, Fluorite… (...) Grossular, could you run some experiments with me?
(Heliodors) She's popular!
>She's changed. Citrine never saw any use in experiments before, but now she's the one proposing one with you. When Citrine turned to look at you and ask, she looked much more serious. The giver of the "gift" requested your help, but that "gift" was merely a misunderstanding by the heliodors—it was actually an item that held sentimental value for Citrine. Both heliodors clapped for you, but not with their own hands—rather, clapping each other's hands. It was a hand game only they could perform; apparently, you had confirmed their point once again.

>The sea has a peculiar motion. Though the moon hangs high, the water remains calm. With a tide like this, in a simple boat it would be impossible to move out of sight of the Academy. But when Crisocola sits down on the floater's deck, the vehicle slightly increases its speed. There's a mechanical movement beneath the floater, yet it feels less like gears and wooden fins and more like a hydraulic motion. When you asked Crisocola about her defiance, she averted her gaze upward. She didn't seem to be avoiding you—just pondering an answer. In the end, Crisocola simply waved a hand dismissively, as you interpreted her sense of freedom. But her failure to give a consistent answer seems to validate your point. Still, Crisocola grows far more excited watching the edges of the floater reflecting the moonlight shimmering across the water's surface. When you stood up, the vehicle remained stable, only tilting slightly after you spoke. Crisocola placed her palms on the floor to steady herself, maintaining balance—you surprised her.
(Crisocola) Whoa, ah! Can you do that without breaking yourself? (...) My floater runs on an "engine" of inclusions. It's like you just powered it up!
>All of Crisocola's movements are strange. Earlier, she didn't hesitate to jump out a window, but now even moving around on the floater demands extreme caution from her. She stops several times before gripping the edge, and when she finally manages it, she exclaims in appreciation of the escape velocity. The boat tilted slightly when you spoke—that was the trigger for them to soon arrive faster. After Crisocola's brief astonishment, her response would come. She sat firmly down and crossed her arms, thinking hard for several seconds. When Crisocola opened her eyes, she gave you the answer—her prediction.
(Crisocola) Then there's no other way. You'll cut through all those expectations. One by one, you'll sever them, and destroy every thought binding you to her. (...) It'll be your work, definitely, because it's what you want to do—I'm sure of it...
>Crisocola's laughter is sinister—low in volume, creeping toward safety. She's convinced that this desire, that thing you don't want for yourself, is the starting point for developing your work. After chuckling at her own discovery, Crisocola leaned forward to explain.
(Crisocola) There are things you can't change, no matter how strong or intelligent you are. Your hardness is one of them. The composition of gems is another... flaws and all. But fortunately, our way of being is malleable—did you know that? One day you might ruin a battle or another task and be cast aside, but another day, you might give a wonderful gift and earn appreciation. The accumulation of all those moments can slowly displace the prejudices others hold. (...) Even I went from loving a gem to rejecting her because of one great act like that.
>It's the perspective of a weak gem. The freedom she talks about, she only gained after surrendering to several things, apparently. But the hope Crisocola outlines is that, regarding how others perceive you, you must never give up. She's able to express the variability in gems' feelings by giving a personal example. Crisocola doesn't delve deeper into the topic—she specifies only what she considers unfeasible.
(Crisocola) If you want to change, for example, the opinion others have of 36, it'll be impossible, because she's kind by nature. But even Almandine 36 has her quirks… (...) The point is we should start with the simplest thing: differentiate yourself from her. The primary information, the one entering through eyes and ears. Change your appearance, change your name! But a big change would alarm Fluorite and the others, and that'd be inconvenient. What do you think about making small, continuous changes? Ruffle your hair like this, and then just drop those silly numbers. Garnet Almandine, Almandina, Almandine. The last one sounds much better.
>Crisocola took off her hat—there was nothing inside, just the surface of her blue hair and her red eyes glowing in the night. She messed up her hair in front of you and tried proposing a possible change. She kept it like that until her hair settled on its own, all while playing with your name. You belong to the garnet family; taking your family name over your specification is an option discarded. In the end, Crisocola only changed a couple of letters—she seemed happy experimenting. When you answered Crisocola's question, Crisocola herself got flustered. She had no idea how to respond to your answer and merely commented on what struck her as unexpected.
(Crisocola) Uhh. You've studied a lot. (...) Everything you're saying is correct! It's correct, and that's why I'll add my own point of view. There are two types of work. The first, done for recognition and to fill a void; the second, done purely out of passion and knowledge. Since both serve to prevent fractures, people often confuse whether work defines gems or gems define their work.
>Unlike Fluorita, who's made you visit the library due to your age, Crisocola took her time analyzing your words before finally approving. She added further clarification regarding the distinction between types of work. She held up two fingers in a V-sign for a while as she explained, until she focused back on fractures. She defined it in her own way.

(Crisocola) Half-words, illustrated lies, that entire fragile harmony generates a superficial layer, a beautiful sheen of accumulated tensions and efforts that should be the first to break. Our memories and feelings have weight. When something affects us, to the point where our inclusions increase or decrease that weight, a fracture occurs. Since you haven't broken once throughout this journey, it means you're very sincere—or you're just really good at lying. (,,,) Look, we've arrived! It's the perfect moment!

> Judging by Crisocola's tone, she's unlikely to consider the possibility of deception. After all, the float responded to your words. There's something strange about this vehicle—no matter how much you move around on it, it never loses stability. The liquid sound coming from below doesn't seem natural to the sea either. But Crisocola won't explain anything about how the boat works, since she's focused entirely on you. There's a higher level of light now—probably the sun will return soon. With this added brightness, Crisocola can now distinguish the atoll they're headed toward. Upon arrival, disembarking is much simpler. The sand on this beach is white and much more granular. The terrain is low, but there's some vegetation. The island is shaped like a C and sits barely above sea level—almost as if a rise in tide could erase it completely. On this short, delicate relief, Crisocola is willing to wait with you for several minutes until light increases from the east. She says nothing, only sits down again, watching as radiant rays escape the horizon and slowly sink, giving birth to new dawn lights. The dark blue of night dilutes from west to east, turning into a luminous orange that spreads gradually. Crisocola turns her head toward you and asks while observing your face.
(Crisocola) You never could've seen something like this at the Academy, right? (...) My work also exists to fill a void.
>Turning her gaze back to the sunrise, Chrysocolla confesses. Again, even if you asked, Chrysocolla would deflect the topic with hand gestures. When the sea gem stood up, she shouted that it was time to go back, and that it would be dangerous for her to keep you kidnapped for much longer. Certainly, the sight of the sunrise over the infinite sea is a perspective you haven't had before, but for Chrysocolla, this must have happened many times. While she's preparing the float, Chrysocolla comments in a tone of having realized a mistake. After all, Chrysocolla wasn't entirely sure about everything she was telling you either.
(Chrysocolla) You know? What I said earlier was pretty dumb. Why should you change your appearance? If anyone needs to rethink things, it's all those other gems! That's why, it's just a matter of showing your differences without making them obvious.
>The last thing she said bordered on the absurd. There was no way the others would notice something that was hidden. If they hadn't noticed it before, there was no logical way they would notice it now. But, despite how ridiculous it sounds, Chrysocolla still hasn't discarded the idea. She thinks as she speaks in a low voice and moves some planks that make up the float. Finally, Chrysocolla lightly cracks her fingers as she presses hard against the wood.
(Chrysocolla) Maybe you can't see through the others... That's why, my recommendation... Oh, right! Heliodor! If we make that pair of identical gems appear different from each other, then it will be easier for everyone to think that 36 and you are completely distinct.
>There are two twin gems at the Academy, two who were born at the same time and are completely identical. Chrysocolla has a dangerous idea, all to keep trying to help you find an identity. The float is now ready to depart. She's the one who gets on first. With her hand covered by three layers of soft gloves, Chrysocolla offers you her hand, intending to assist you in boarding. That protective measure is still in place, but it's solely for her, as you could easily break her otherwise.

>I already thought about having a conversation with Leucozafiro happen separately from the turns you send, so as not to affect the roleplay's rhythm.
Yes, but if it's okay with you, I'd like to set the initial atmosphere. It'd be a couple of dialogues with Fluorite and then a patrol or something like that.

>Some of these artists' images might be useful for you.
They helped me, man, and so did Zafiro's. I've added more to the folder I have labeled "conceptual images." I plan to use them when things get abstract. Though it's unlikely the roleplay will get that far (based on what we've done so far)

For now, the possible images for the next thread are:
1: The one I wanted to use for thread 3 kek, 2: Padparadscha, 3: Dioptase. 4 and 5 I just like.

>Don't gems lose consciousness only when their head or torso is destroyed?
Yes, when they lose all their limbs they become slightly sluggish or disconnected, but they remain conscious. The fastest way to disable a gem is by destroying their head; if the torso is destroyed, it takes a few more seconds for them to go offline.

I'll answer the other question later, it made me think for a while kek (I think I'll add it to the glossary)

Consider your turns the last of the extra turns. I will still answer it but my answer will be shorter and probably tied to the following situation.

>>8897
Except for Almandine, she has one more extra turn.
We will probably have to roleplay in parallel, the extra turn and the chapter. I might send you two turns in the next thread.
That's because the next chapter directly involves Almandine and I must roleplay it contemporaneously (at least the beginning).

If Taaff and Zafiro's chat is long and gives me time to fully respond to Almandine, then we'll forget about that problem.

I will make the thread when I finish the glossary and also the introduction.
