"I can fight, but I'm here to heal," Mirumo replies.

You argue that he should heal Yukako while she struggles to keep the area safe; her retort is "I'd rather quit than stand in front of kids! Leave us for last!"

"Me too?" asks Kin.

"YES!"

The companion says nothing more and continues firing, now providing covering fire for Nazuna, who runs into her own problems when the paper villain separates your group from you. Aurelio says he'll handle it. Meanwhile, you and the others are forced to run from a tsunami of clones until Hikimiro gets an idea.

"Sounds good," Karui says, his flames flaring up stronger.

But you couldn't.

"What?!"

You would be breaking your promise. You hold Mirumo's hands, who looks at you incredulously. With no time for a chat due to the situation, she stumbles over her words as she tries to articulate.

"I..uh, okay, now we have Eri! You can do it!"

https://youtu.be/d-Tv0XUvnRM?t=45sYou had the approval of your guardian angel. With renewed determination, you turned back to the avalanche of clones, clenching your fist with all your strength I suppose it's just one arm in this case. Energy accumulated within it, glowing with your characteristic pinkish-red hue. After training with Glimmer and hardening your body further, you had a better understanding of your quirk. Not only did you feel there was much more energy than before, but you also felt a great heat inside you when using it—you felt its power.

The ground cracked under Karui's stomp. The Shiketsu giant stood beside you, his arm charging his powerful attack alongside yours, flames accumulating on his limb which began to emit a blinding glow.

"Let's do it!" he said.

To the side, Hikimiro raised his arms. First, the small clones rose into the air, followed by the debris.

"Wait for my signal!" Hikimiro shouted before proceeding with his part: "'Technique PSI No. 50: Great Disaster!'"

Debris from everywhere rose up—the walls of the compound and other parts of the factory were added, the place being torn apart second by second. The redhead's nose started bleeding, then his eyes, then his ears, before he nearly killed himself from overexertion alone. Mirumo grabbed his shoulders and began healing him to keep him stable while lowering another nutrition cube to recover his energy.

"Don't kill yourself, you damn idiot!" the nurse shouted, a mix of anger and concern... Was that how you looked?

You shook off the doubt. Hikimiro continued his attack now that Yukako and Kin had retreated to the same space as you.

"And now, it's time to unveil..." Hikimiro gritted through his teeth: "'Technique PSI No. 55: TYPHOON!'"

https://youtu.be/tWl1ekjk2aQThe rubble columns rising like a Tsunami collide with the clones, before starting to spin at high revolutions, generating a powerful tornado, a huge blender chopping and destroying the clones by shredding them into pieces.

"Ack...f-find the boss..." Hikimiro says, forcing himself to speak; it didn't look like his attack would last more than a few seconds, yet they see it.

Amidst the cacophony of noise and visual pollution, you can notice an inconsistency: a massive mass of clones struggling to stay together. If that didn't reveal the original trying to protect itself, nothing would.

Hikimiro lowers his arms, finally giving in and fainting onto Mirumo dumbass doesn't last long. The tornado ceases, and the surviving clones along with the debris begin to fall.

You and Karui had a target: that huge accumulation of clones. Yukako makes a gesture with her hand, and a portal appears before you.

"CROSS!" she shouts at you.

The two synchronize, stepping forward and jumping through the portal; you feel your body stretch +1cm as you pass through, now standing right in front of the pile of clones.
They clench their fists tighter, aiming them at the enemy in an uppercut.

"SMASH"

Their fists meet, culminating in another portal that serves to amplify even further the power of their combined attack.
The explosion is something you've never seen, something you couldn't have imagined before.
Both energies acting in sync and merging as one, breaking through the rows of clones like a single uniform strike, the power so great it cuts through, rising high into the sky, splitting the clouds like a divine feat.
Its shockwave also causes an explosion that sends more debris and part of the arena flying; if Bruce had tried to escape like at the beginning, he would have had it very easy given the state of the place...

Then you feel it: the painful, familiar recoil. It feels like a stab, a painful stab in every millimeter of your arm tearing from the inside out before the nerves shut down to prevent the burning pain from clouding your mind any longer.

You and Karui are left hanging in the air, the pain making you curl up in place. Karui grabs your other arm; having exhausted her energy, she's now smaller, though not dwarfed or emaciated yet.

"I got you."

Another portal opens behind you, and Kin pokes out, pulling you both back to the ground.

"Phew...that was amazing!" he says.

"Yeah..." Yukako continues, kneeling on the ground and covering her injured eye with a hand. Not only were her wounds visible, she looked incredibly exhausted. "I think that was the portal with the highest amplification I've ever made...they put it to good use."

The clones fall from the sky, vanishing in small bursts of light, accompanied by ash and dust from Nazuna's fight...but there was no trace of Bruce.
...

The two groups reunite near the hallway exit and what little remained of the facility.

https://youtu.be/Cc_43zslKfgSmoke, dust, and ash covered everything as the last remnants of the factory finished collapsing.

Mirumo didn't stay still; she gathered Chibiro and Hikimiro to stabilize them without losing a second.

Yukako breathed with difficulty while looking around. "Stay together," she ordered.

Aurelio stood in the center, expanding his aura to defend. Ukyo loaded her remaining arrows, listening for any disturbance that might reveal the enemy. Kin continued covering the surroundings with his arm-cannon ready.

Then Karui pointed upward, noticing the difference. "...Look."

Amidst the falling ash descended a small group of huddled clones. Just a few figures slowly descending, supported by large blackened paper wings.

In the center was Bruce; beneath him was Kirila.
The villainess could barely stand. Much of her outfit had vanished under burns caused by Nazuna's magma; her skin was blackened in several spots, and one arm wouldn't respond. She breathed heavily, using every last drop of her Quirk to create those paper platforms that cushioned the descent of both.

The clones touched the ground one by one.

Pop.

One disappeared, and so did the rest, one after another.

Their bodies dissolved into small flashes of light as cracks ran through their shields and destroyed armor, unable to hold on anymore. The shields flickered out, and pieces of armor fell to the ground.

Finally, only one remained: the real Bruce. His helmet cracked open like a nut and fell to his side, following him as he hit the ground and dropped to his knees. His body still glowed red; his veins were dilated and marked with black beneath the skin. He breathed rapidly.

Kirila took a staggering step toward him, dragging one leg.

"B-boss..." Her voice was hoarse, barely a whisper. "We can still escape..." Each word hurt. "...They're exhausted...we just have to leave...I'll take you as far as I can."

"You don't have luck on your side," Yukako said, standing firm. "Surrender before making this longer."

"Please..." Kirila whispered.

Bruce lifted his head, looking at his partner for a few seconds. His expression was empty.

"And who are you?"

Kirila blinked, her face bewildered.

"...Huh...? Boss..." She tried to smile, trying even though it hurt, thinking it was a joke. "It's me...Kirila..." She approached the boss, holding his hand. "We've been together since...since the beginning, please—"
She couldn't finish the sentence. Bruce tilted his head slightly before responding, as if trying to recall her face, but there was no result.

"I don't know you."

The paper still floating around Kirila began to disintegrate. "It's me... I always--"

Bruce didn't bother looking at her. His hand searched through the shredded remains of his suit and pulled out a small combat knife.

"Bruce... please."

Without changing his expression or showing any hesitation, the leader stood up and drove the knife into Kirila's stomach.

https://youtu.be/XQUIROg7Uo8The woman with lilac hair opened her eyes wide; air left her lungs in a stifled gasp.

Bruce yanked the blade out in one swift motion. "Stop bothering me now..." He paused, thinking, "What was I doing?..."

Kirila stumbled back by inertia, bringing her skilled hand to her wound. Her body trembled, refusing to process what had just happened. Her lips moved, trying to form some words, but no sound came out before she collapsed to the floor.

"Shit... we have to help her!" Ukyo shouted.

From a portal, Yukako extended her hand, grabbed the woman by her clothes, and pulled her through the portal along with them.

"What are you doing?" Karui asked.

Yukako didn't answer directly. "Nurse, stabilize her," she ordered. "No one dies on my watch."

Mirumo nodded without complaint and immediately began attending to Kirila as fast as possible.

Then Yukako looked ahead where Bruce stood, frowning. "Kin, shoot him."

Rigid as a statue and aiming at the Yakuza boss, Kin nodded and fired at Bruce, who seemed lost in thought.

But before the bullet could hit him, a dozen clones manifested in front, serving as a human shield.

"Oh yeah... I was." Black bile dripped from Bruce's nose; his pupils were different sizes. "I was killing pests."

New silhouettes began sprouting from his body. In just one second, he was surrounded again by copies of himself. But something was different.

The first few clones could barely stand. They walked stumbling or collided with each other. Several tried to run and ended up falling to the ground. Their movements were slow and clumsy; some couldn't even raise their arms to form fists. Yet they kept multiplying.

The numbers increased relentlessly. Kin tried to lay down covering fire, but the clones moved like an avalanche, compensating for the obvious degradation of each copy with sheer quantity.

"He's losing control," Yukako said, observing the erratic and uncoordinated behavior of the clones. "He can barely stay stable."

"I don't think he has much time left," Kin said coldly. "Look at their eyes. If we don't defeat him, those drugs will kill him first."

"His brain is made pure, I doubt he remembers why he's fighting in the first place" Says Aurelio

The battle was still not over...but it was evident that Bruce was no longer fighting to win, the reason for his actions had already become a haze in his subconscious and he was only acting out of mere habit.

"Bueno..." Karui clenched his knuckles "There will be many, but it's still just one subject. We can handle him"

"Save the motivation, we just have to knock him out before he kills himself" Says Aurelio "Although it would do the world a great favor if the second thing happened"

"It won't happen" Yukako raised her voice "Every villain is captured alive for interrogation and to answer for their crimes, we are going to defeat him"

The clones finally closed the distance, without any more exaggerated and grandiose attacks, the final clash seemed much more contained and personal, a brawl hand to hand.

Instead of being intimidated by hearing such famous names, she stands her ground and offers to bring them. In response the ghost clenchs her teeth and turns away her face.

"¡I don't need Marietta to come! She's surely very busy... It would be very rude of me to bother... It's not like I'm the center of the universe..."

With each word said, her voice gets quieter, until the last word is barely the flutter of a mosquito. The specter's expression remains furrowed in a resigned grimace, as if she knows everything has ended. When the director's voice starts to sound more kind, Gwen turns her face, squints her eyes and locks her gaze, almost as if she wants to know what color the woman's insides are.

"I promise... ¡Ha! Promises are empty words. Everyone makes and breaks them for convenience. Admit it already, you're using your position of power to coerce me. The faster you say it, the clearer things will be between you and me"

She raises her voice and speaks as if lies were an old friend of hers, this time she doesn't hide it.

"The truth is ugly, dirty, ¡nobody likes it! But very well, I'll give it to you. The only thing I ask is that you stop with that nonsense of wanting to help me... And also... ¡Get them out of here! I don't want men looking... At what I am..."

Gwen doesn't look at anyone in particular, it's obvious she's referring to those present in the office.

Second Hunger Games thread, because the first one reached its limit after a year and a half. If you want to nominate tributes, the "character sheet" format is further down. You can also suggest or create events for the simulation if you want. Information about the events is further down.

Character Sheet:
Name:
Nickname: (Optional)
Role:
Image: Copy and paste a link to the image uploaded to https://postimages.org/ or https://imgbb.com/
Image 2: This will be used when the character dies. (Optional)

- 24 Participants. 12 Teams. 2 Characters per role unless the edition supervisor says otherwise. Characters can be from old and dead roles, your own, or another anon's, players, or NPCs.
- The images are by URL and the ones I've tried to use directly from the chan don't work for some reason, so it would be better if you provided your own links from other pages or the name of the character you use for the avatar's appearance in the role to search for images that work.
- Events can be lethal or normal, they describe what a character does or what happens to them in a "turn". They can involve one or more characters. EX: Character1 kills Character2 with a sword from behind. EX2: Character1 falls into a pit and twists an ankle, but manages to get out.
- Arena: Multiple events that affect the entire Arena and all characters who are alive. EX: Mutant dogs are released into the arena Event 1: Character1 and Character2 are devoured alive by the dogs. Event 2: Character1 pushes Character2 to the ground while fleeing and the dogs devour him.

Past Edition Codes (you copy and paste them on the "Load Season" page, so you have all the events in Spanish and just have to change the tributes):
First edition in Spanish: EmIs4Yk4
Christmas Edition: ZMXxo7Ja
Second edition in Spanish: z0KpZdTe
School Edition: s7kJe8gw and sIoXeq0c
The codes are lost if no one loads them for more than two months so visit them regularly if you can.

Are you bumping so the thread doesn't get lost or because you're interested in someone doing hunger games soon? I was waiting for the backrooms role to finish to finally make some games set in the world of a role and maybe ask about popular moments of that role or deaths to use as events, but it's more likely that they will do a mega odyssey again before that happens.

Meh, if anyone is interested you can suggest role reference events or ways to die here and I'll see when I do.

I think there are not enough characters to fill the positions in a hunger games, let's see, I'll do the math.

Maria
Maverick
Martin
Marcos/Marissa, why are there so many ma?
Rando/Ghasto
Eiko
Aurora
Catherine
The crazy chicken/Leonardo
Buzzo
Donatello
Irene

With that it's barely half done, it would have to be filled with npcs or tokens that only lasted a few turns

>finish
When I finish One Piece maybe, there's a reason they say that the labyrinths in the backrooms have no end

Tributes are never a problem, the idea is not to fill the Hunger Games with role-playing characters but rather that everyone who wants can offer tributes from other roles and put them in the Backrooms so that they can be killed or die in events related to the role. Although if they can't even offer tributes, I still fill them with the characters that are sung to me.

Can a God have fun?

Can a God enjoy himself? Can he even have those feelings or are we lowering him to a degree of human understanding? Treating him as an equal to us

But if that were the case, a God shouldn't be able to love, as that is a feeling understood by humans, by mortals.

But even so, we have taken it upon ourselves to try to exalt a God who can understand us, who can feel, because that is how we want to identify him.

But in that case, if a God can feel, then, that he can have feelings.

What happens in the case that a God...gets bored of being God?

And what would happen if he decided to leave his post as God and try to live as a man? Would he be selfish? Would he be indifferent to the world he created?...or perhaps he would leave a successor to try to give him the most adequate mortal experience.

...Can something like that happen? Or is it just nonsense from the human mind trying to understand God's position?

I almost forgot how many you have, I'd have to check everything again. I'm putting down the ones I remember and could check in the time I had, but they're the ones you've used the most so far.

-Pandora, it's activated by eating weapons to fuse them and return them when a certain time runs out. There's no limit to how many weapons you can have it devour.

-Beasthunter: When activated, it gives you armor.

Prince Cerberus: Fire, Lightning, Electricity. I don't remember if you saw its awakened form/much blood. I don't remember which image it was, since the archives are in spoiler, therefore, they were lost in the chan's death.

Lucifer: It was a sword, but I only find information about it when you activate it. It's the Lucifer from DMC 3, you throw daggers and they explode, dealing percentage damage.

Dante's Weapon: Used as a key to open the door to the last circle (Lost).

Amon's Gloves (I think): They handle a force that you don't need to put in yourself, therefore, gravitational power that allows you to control large objects when you hit them, therefore, you can throw a giant rock at Dante effortlessly and even hit it several times until the giant rock breaks.

In the last two decades, the world has witnessed an unprecedented phenomenon: the appearance of individuals bearing peculiarities — genetic alterations that grant extraordinary abilities — colloquially known as quirks. What began as isolated cases, hidden and misinterpreted, has grown into an international matter.

The scientific community debates whether this is a natural evolutionary leap or the result of forces yet to be identified. Governments, on the other hand, are concerned with the strategic impact of these individuals. In a world divided by the Cold War, the fear that quirks could become weapons has ignited diplomatic tensions and fueled extremist ideologies, both in defense and opposition to their existence.

In this climate of uncertainty, amidst the cold waters and dense fog of the North Atlantic, rises Genesis Island: an isolated enclave, inaccessible by conventional routes and officially nonexistent on any navigational chart. Administered by the geneticist and empathetic mutant Edward Claremont, the island serves as a refuge and training center for young quirks carriers. There, they are taught to understand and control their abilities, while also being prepared for missions beyond their shores.

Claremont, visionary and pragmatic, founded Genesis Island in 1972, after acquiring the ruins of a World War II naval base. His facilities — a mix of military and academic architecture — now house classrooms, laboratories, training zones, and restricted sectors whose existence is rarely mentioned. Although his official discourse advocates for peaceful coexistence, many wonder what his true objective is and where the resources that keep this place functioning come from.

In the year 1983, the world watches in silence. Between the promise of a future where humans and mutants coexist, and the fear of an inevitable conflict, Genesis Island stands as a lighthouse… or perhaps, as the spark that will ignite the next great war.

Leonardo da Vinci: The hydrodynamic design of the jar is fascinating, but the ergonomics for scratching my nose are a complete nightmare.

Frank Sinatra: Fly me to the moon... or at least move my jar closer to the window, there's no air circulation here.

Ludwig van Beethoven: I can't hear anything.

Audrey Hepburn: To be elegant, you don't need a sophisticated dress, just a well-polished glass jar without fingerprints.

Sigmund Freud: The fact that I've been left alone as a disembodied head reveals a clear castration complex in whoever designed this laboratory... You want to screw your mom.

Bruce Lee: Be like water, my friend... but honestly, I didn't think the advice would be so literal.

Abraham Lincoln: A house divided against itself cannot stand... and a head divided from its body, well, you can imagine.

Groucho Marx: Well, I never thought I'd end up in a jar. Although I must admit it's the first time my bar tab has been so cheap.

Marie Curie: At least make sure this glass has radiation shielding, I don't want the liquid to start glowing at night.

Jimi Hendrix: Brother, this preservation fluid is giving me a psychedelic trip like nothing in the sixties.

William Shakespeare: To be or not to be? That is no longer the question, the question is who put me next to the olive jar.

Louis Armstrong: What a wonderful world!... although it would be much more wonderful if someone put some ice in this water.

Vincent van Gogh: At least no one in here can come and touch my other ear!

Pablo Picasso: Look at me! Now I'm a perfect abstract work, bodiless and floating in a glass cube!

I DID IT! I DID IT! LOOK, LOOK! I JUST NEUTRALIZED MISS MOIRA'S POWER! AM I GREAT?! AM I NOT?!

The vortex, a place where worlds and their inhabitants go to die, where the fallen are given a second chance.

In this vortex, there is a path that leads to the city of the vortex queen, it is said that she will grant a wish to whoever overcomes the trials of this path. But the greatest danger is not the trials, but two evil forces, known as the witches of doom, sworn enemies of the queen and the witches of salvation.

You are a newcomer to the vortex, you remember where you were before but you don't know when you arrived here, you just woke up among the ruins of several forgotten and dead worlds. Will you face the trials of the vortex?

With an earthy, raw, and dry taste, Fluorite discreetly vomits argillic material. She disguises it by sketching a smile and rewinding memories that obey a soundless, formless voice. For the 800 years following the Betelgeuse supernova explosion, a parasitic frequency continually forces beings of the purest inclusions to expel clay and form Argilita. A full, direct, and immortal life form that escapes through desperate and scattered cries of eternal, mundane, simple, and extremely deformed conviction. Uncontemplable, as she believed herself to be forever, Uranocircita is unable to ring Argilita on the nearest horizon, full of stars. Tearing through the omnipresent clarity, she possesses an unshakeable belief that does not depend on an object of unshakeable belief worth believing in.

The silicoclastic species is a life form based on hives of dark particles stored in a defined chemical composition, minerals. From phosphates, sulfates, carbonates, silicates, and even fossilized resins, this species coexists on Earth alongside others of equal intelligence. Gems not only shine for their varied colors, abundant intelligence, strength, or beauty, but they stand out for their imperishable capacity. In short, immortality. Even if a gem's body breaks into a thousand pieces, as long as most of its fragments are recovered and the inclusions residing there remain, the gems will reassemble and revive time and time again. In this way, for over 300,000 years, gems have inhabited both an immaculate paradise and a war-torn hell.

The Crystalline Earth is an extensive island located on the ancient caldera of Yellowstone, in the northern hemisphere of the planet. This landmass hosts a large and unique ecosystem composed of organic and inorganic beings. On the island, animals, carbon-based terrestrial beings, do not exceed one meter in height. Mineral life forms and the evaporative phenotype of inclusions function as regulators and conservators for these species. Outside the island, in the ocean and on other continents, natural life develops without interruption. It is a fact that the saltwater mass covering the planet comprises 90% of the Earth's surface.

The Crust, is a giant underground complex located 100 kilometers below the Earth's surface, with an extent covering 5 tectonic plates under the ancient American continent, at the boundary between the lithosphere and the asthenosphere. In this subsoil lives the exocryde, a vast population of humans, carbon-based terrestrial beings, whose civilization numbers in the trillions of individuals. Mineral life forms and the magmatic phenotype of inclusions function as exterminators and annihilators for their species. Due to the heterogeneous presence of their inclusions throughout their complex composition, the imperishable capacity of exocrydes has deformed their immortality in perverse ways.

Padparadscha, enough... I understand what you mean... I'll help, but... Please stop...

>Under her gaze as Padparadscha held her by the cheeks
>She didn't want to look at her, not in this state, not after what happened
>Taaffeita was too ashamed of her weakness and her actions to do so
>If, at this moment, Padparadscha decided to abandon her, Taaffeita wouldn't complain
>It was for the best, it was undoubtedly for the best, and yet, Padparadscha continued to insist
>Why? Why would she want to have such a weak and pathetic gem like Taaffeita by her side at a time like this?
>That question is... extremely simple to answer
>Taaffeita knows the answer and yet refuses to accept it
>She doesn't want to hear it, she doesn't want to think about it, and she also doesn't want Padparadscha to continue with this
>If she did, she would only feel worse about herself, only increase her guilt, only... only...
>She just wants this to stop, and if she has to accompany her to do it, then she will

....You're right, Fluorite isn't here anymore. We had a meth take her off the planet. We thought it was for the best, I still think so...

>Her shoulders dropped even further as Padparadscha let go of her
>If she still had arms, she would be hugging herself as tightly as she could
>Lacking them, she sat back down, lifting her legs so she could bury her face against her knees
>She can't look at Padparadscha, not yet, if she's going to help her, she needs to calm herself down first
>Ignoring the rest, Taaffeita tried to isolate herself to better suppress her feelings
>However, she had heard something that caught her attention
>The so-called Iron seemed to be aware of Fluorite's location
>Something strange, as not even the pyroclastic gem herself knew despite working for the Homeworld
>Raising her face from above her knees, Taaffeita observed the talking alloy
>Addressing her to check her reaction when she revealed what happened to Fluorite

Rhodo... rhodonite, wasn't it? A while ago we captured one of her kind, or rather, she surrendered. Thanks to... Pink Diamond, we were able to obtain a lot of information about the Homeworld.

>Finally able to calm down, Taaffeita lowered her legs and stood up
>Walking with a slow step towards Rhodonite
>Upon seeing her face to face, Taaffeita's expression became complicated
>Until now, her experience with Homeworld gems has been quite bad
>Because of that, Taaffeita didn't see herself capable of looking favorably upon either Rhodonite or Iron
>Looking away, she leaned against the wall next to Rhodonite, then began to speak
>Her tone of voice was listless, as if what she was about to say drained her energy

I don't like her, she hides too much behind her self-pity and acts like a victim! Seeing someone responsible for so many abductions act that way makes me angry. I've wanted to hit her on more than one occasion, and I'd gladly do it right now! But... As much as I hate Pink Diamond... I never thought of destroying her, it would be enough for me if she and the rest of the gems like you disappeared to a faraway place after agreeing not to bother us. That... would be enough for me...

>Stomping her foot hard, Taaffeita complained aloud about Pink Diamond's behavior
>Everyone on the surface knows very well what she thinks of her and what she would do if she were alone with her for too long
>Taaffeita doesn't intend to sugarcoat those feelings, not even if she's on the Homeworld
>However, Taaffeita's hatred has a limit, and she knows that doing to them what they did to her wouldn't be right
>She doesn't intend to forgive the Homeworld, she doesn't intend to get along with anyone here, but she also doesn't intend to resort to violence
>Keeping her gaze locked with Padparadscha's, Taaffeite communicated with a simple look that she should please let go of Rhodochrosite
>Padparadscha, I'm sorry. You must be going through a lot right now too and... just like me, you also need someone to hold onto. I was wrong not to comfort you sooner, from now on I promise to be there for you no matter my state. I'm going to help you, I'm going to help all the gems I can! and for that... We're going to need some support.

>She remained silent during the conversation between Iron and Padparadscha
>Taaffeite just stood there, still, watching, listening, thinking
>Doing so, she was able to notice what she had been denying for so long
>Taaffeite, you're not the only one suffering right now, Padparadscha is too
>All her companions who ended up here must be feeling exactly the same
>Dwelling so much in her melancholy is not helpful, neither for her nor for the rest
>Walking towards Padparadscha, Taaffeite approached until she was right beside her
>Resting her head affectionately on Padparadscha's shoulder, Taaffeite apologized to her
>If she intends to rescue the rest, she cannot do it with low spirits
>She must be able to look at them with a confident face so they know everything will be alright
>Although, to achieve that she's going to need some extra help...

Honestly, I'm still not sure if this is a good idea. Just talking to gems from the court feels unnatural and immoral. However... after what I saw, I think I'm starting to understand them a little better. Living in a place capable of creating that pyroclastic gem abomination must be very terrifying. Maybe I too would lose my mind in such an environment...

>Directing her gaze towards Rhodochrosite and Iron, Taaffeite spoke
>Both her face and her words were full of insecurity and doubt, with a slight touch of frustration
>Having to resort to something like this is not something that will make her happy at all
>Nevertheless, just as she said, that pyroclastic gem helped her understand something
>The court gems are not soldiers who follow orders out of loyalty, but out of fear
>If that's the case, she can empathize, even if only a little, with them and stop seeing them as bitter enemies
>Instead, she should start thinking of the court gems as what they are...
>Individuals of their own kind who have been forced to attack them

What I'm trying to say is... If I really hope to achieve a future where we stop being enemies, I'm going to have to... make an exception and work alongside them. So, okay, what am I supposed to do?

>Swallowing her pride, Taaffeite took a step forward
>Clarifying once more her desire to end this conflict with the fewest possible casualties
>Whether they are court gems or surface gems, Taaffeite hopes they can all reach an agreement
>To achieve something like that, it is necessary for even her to show some trust in them
>Accepting Iron's terms sounded like a very suspicious and dangerous deal
>No, not just her, whether it was Iron, Rhodochrosite, or any other court gem, Taaffeite would doubt them anyway
>However, Iron had shown knowledge that the pyroclastic gem did not possess
>Which means she is at least not on their side
>It's little, it's very little, it's too little information to fully trust her word
>Nevertheless, she had no other options, so walking towards Iron, Taaffeite extended what little was left of her arms
>Looking at her with a face full of resignation, Taaffeite agreed to join with her

>Temporarily losing visibility doesn't seem entirely bad, given how often she avoids eye contact with Uranus, though after a short while of not seeing her she feels a silly anxiety that she might never see her again, despite how unlikely it is that she'll disappear in those few seconds or that the light will never return. Within this same conversation, and her current situation in general, there are as many things that relieve her as make her doubt.
I've given so little importance to the name I'm given or the mineral I have now that I barely notice it, for me I'm still just me.
>Despite the number of times she's replaced parts of her body with parts of others and how those might affect her way of being or thinking, she spends less time worrying about it, so maybe that's a change, but an old one.
>It's the first time she's starting to doubt if the things she's done can also change who she is. Even if her personality remains the same, a gem that's always cheerful, helps, and protects her sisters must be different from a gem that's always cheerful, experiments with other gems, or sends them to sacrifice themselves saving humans.
I would be the last gem to give up on others, or give up in general. Starting to give up now would be quite cruel... It's just that saying I'd be willing to believe anyone who wants to be forgiven and hope others do the same for me is something different.
>Part of going against the others is being friends with those whom others would reject, the "defective" gems, the weird ones, the less popular ones, or those who don't have anyone else, partly also because those gems are interesting and she likes surprises.
>Giving up after everything she told Sapphire would be especially terrible, although she doesn't deny that her spirits drop a little more each time she fails at something, and that having failed to get a gem out of the dark place she was in and convince her it was worth living brings more negative thoughts to her head, even while seeing Circita.
Continuing to live is having more opportunities to build good memories. I think it's easier to do when you're not standing still in one place. At least I remember the few times I went somewhere different with my sisters better than the millions of times I stood under my teacher's window shaking a sword.
>She tries to give Uranocircita the brightest smile she can to compensate for the moments of darkness, alluding to all the time she must have spent in her cave without saying it directly, assuming she doesn't have many happy memories of it.
>Openly admitting that she greatly helped another gem or that she is someone worthy of trust, respect, or admiration is another difficult thing to say out loud, because of the times she has failed or thought the same of other gems.
>Hearing gems she could once rely on that she was the one who helped them is something strange, although it's probably good that even strong gems can show moments of vulnerability and it shouldn't be a bad thing that she also lets herself be comforted by others more physically fragile like Circita.
I trust you too, that's why I care a lot about what you think of me... It sounds horrible to say I'd expect you to reject me so hard it would hurt, but those are the kinds of worries I have sometimes and I think it's better not to say. I trust that whatever you do will be okay.
>She has a vague memory that holding another gem's hands was something dangerous or uncomfortable that she wouldn't want to do again even by accident, but holding Uranus's hands makes her feel so calm that she forgets why, even having an idea of where that idea came from, she no longer makes much sense of it.
>After looking into Circita's eyes for prolonged moments, it seems hers still doubt she's ready to do it and slightly unfocus as if trembling in their sockets, giving her a blurry appearance, almost returning the one she had before, when the radiation made her difficult to perceive and which she strangely now remembers fondly, as well as her less affectionate gestures that she associates so much with it.
Hehe... I get embarrassed with you sometimes too, but I like it, it's like a kind of embarrassment I only feel with you. With you I feel things I don't feel at any other time, or I feel them more strongly or differently.
>If at this point she's still trying to smile, it's more out of nervousness she's starting to feel after the things being said or in preparation for what she's about to do than for any other reason, this comforting feeling of shyness calms down during the seconds they remain connected and gains more strength when they separate and she hears Circita's reaction.
Th-that's what I've been wondering too. Where did you learn to...? No, are you talking about the thing Onyx gave me to try? O-ok, hm...
>By a slip-up, the first thing she says reveals the reaction she'd been holding back since the time they said goodbye, later she learns that Circita's curiosity is due to her occasional habit of putting strange things in her mouth, although she's grateful for it now for giving Uranus the desire to continue to rival the shyness she feels.

>>10454

>>10454
Do I have to be specific with names? Some called me Corundum and there are different types of those too... Hm, having a single gem with the planet's name would be an easy way to make the world turn to look at me, that should help with my popularity too.
>With the number of beings capable of voting left, everyone's popularity in a poll is going to drop a lot, in terms of numbers, it's a good time to weigh it with clasped hands and head tilted, even if she doesn't have sleeves large enough to cover the ends of her limbs as she'd like.
>Talking with her sisters about any topic, important or not, is undoubtedly better than the alternative of observing Dumortierite's hopeless and detached messages on multiple screens.
>She had long believed that Dum would be good at making videos for Peridotite's presentations, or at least capable of surprising her with something entertaining, and although the result she had in front of her was not exactly to her liking, she had to admit that it surprised her in the way Dumortierite managed to do, unpleasantly.
They appear out of nowhere, yes, although I don't know how opportune it could be for a strange being to come out of your mouth, unless you're trapped near the Earth's core surrounded by lava or something similar.
>She understands these beings as little as anyone else despite her prolonged and intimate interaction with a couple of them, so she doesn't have much to add about it, unlike her conversations with other gems from the crust, whether important or not.
Were you worried about me? That's sweet. Assuming you weren't looking for me as a fugitive from the law. Gips were smart, they surely still are, they would have done whatever they did for a good reason. You and Solid are fine now too, so everything is fine.
>The one who wasn't fine was Carnelian's other disciple, probably, but she faced this probability with the same nonchalance as Spectrolite's anxieties and suspicions towards Dumortierite.
All these matters are too tangled for me. If we really lost Onyx for good, that's a shame, she was a brilliant gem and I hoped she would have a better future than the present.
>She wasn't being entirely dishonest; the matter with Onyx had been so strange for her that she didn't quite understand what had really happened. She didn't register the information others gave her about it as more irrefutable facts than any rumor, and therefore didn't feel as much sorrow about it as she might have.
>If what she had seen and what they told her was indeed exactly what happened and she was just in denial, then she was unconsciously so because the pieces still didn't connect in her mind, and she hoped to see Onyx again someday, armed, playing with Kunzite, or giving a report on some screen.
>For similar reasons, she wasn't ready to reconsider her opinion of Carnelian as a possible culprit for what happened to Onyx, nor was there much need to do so since she didn't have her nearby and didn't know if she would in the near future.
If it's about walking around and looking until I find something interesting, I'm honestly sure I can do it. If the floor isn't made of magma, I don't feel like I'm going to melt again or anything like that.
>She answers Uranus' doubt with surprise, pretending not to understand why he doubts her ability to walk.
Promising that I want to return is enough to ensure that I will, I'm more sure of that than of wanting to get my teacher back under these circumstances.
>He expressed his doubts more seriously regarding those fragments of Ruby, not only because it still wasn't the world he would want to bring his master back to if he ever did, but because it seemed suspicious to learn about a place where he could conveniently recover the beloved master from whom he was separated even before descending to the crust.
>He hated suspecting others, but after so many attacks on his mineral life, he had no more desire than before to repair his master, even if it was the last chance he had to do so, he preferred to honor Padparadscha's feelings, even if for his own reasons.
The expression "outer world" implies the existence of an "inner world" separate from it, which is true because Circita is my world and I want her to turn and look at me and always gravitate close to me.
>He stares intently at Kunzite and replies in the same serious tone as before to her secondary implications, observing her demonstration with the same impassivity.
Attentive.
>He warns once before tossing Circita and attempting to throw her in the air like her sisters, seriously.
This is fun, but Circita's toughness wasn't the only reason she asked if she could come or not. I would love to have her with me and go explore as patrol partners, and I would hate for something more unpleasant than just breaking to happen during that exploration, and for one of us to end up blaming herself for it... But in the end, it's Circita's decision what she does, and whatever she makes makes sense to me. I am a firm ally of rebellion and I respect her decision, I would never take away someone's freedom to choose, and if I ever forced someone to do something, I did it without wanting them to obey me.
>He openly expresses his thoughts on the matter of exploration and the rights Uranus has as a gem, openly respecting her as an individual while still tossing her like a toy, still with a serious face.
>He finally places the ex-radioactive gem on the ground with more care than he picked her up and looks at her again, seriously.
Well, we already know it's physically possible for us to patrol together. Do you want to try it? If not... try to get away.
>He smiles as he intertwines his fingers with Circita's, although the grip is much less inescapable than his confidence suggests.
>One cannot live always being afraid of dying, as she once told someone, stopping for too long to doubt or worry wore down her patience, and she was a restless gem by nature; if someone's decision had consequences, well, all decisions did, and sooner or later she would have to bear them, whether she wanted to run from them or not.

After ten hours of storm, a bed was a bed. In Sonora, one learned that the desert forgave few things, except for three businesses that seemed blessed by God and protected by the devil. Gas stations, motels, and immigration. The first two at least didn't usually leave you stranded in the desert.

A coyote with a GPS bought in Tepito and hundreds of kilometers of gulf separated them from the American dream. Sleeping one more night wasn't going to change anyone's destiny. The group counted their pennies, heading towards the only truck stop motel with its lights on.

The counter had a bell, an ashtray filled to the point of looking like a funeral urn, and an image of the Virgin of Guadalupe taped on. An old woman, small and wrapped in a wool shawl, received them, even though the Sonora heat was enough to fry an egg on a truck's hood. Nine white ponytails swept the floor behind the counter like living brooms, betraying her from behind the counter. Having left behind so many brothels, roadside hotels, and roadside businesses where the question wasn't, "What do you sell?", but, "Why is this still open?", this didn't even manage to raise an eyebrow.

>Room for how many, my dears?

She was selecting bunches of keys for each group that economized by sharing rooms and, in the worst case, a bed. Next in line, it was your turn.

>Each entity in Nod should respond yes or no, so that the 16 million inhabitants answered individually with a positive (given the majority beyond-line). That question had to be answered also taking into account random pairs of people, situations of Desperation and Thomas, Desperation and Depravity, Desperation and Neth, until completing another 16 million surveys. Groups of 2, 3, 4 up to 16 million that generated 16,000,000! possibilities. The universe computed the simulations, delegating part of the calculations to a human mind located in Montenegro. The human Ali Muhassabid Popó exploded one second before receiving his portion of work, although the request was completed anyway. After mentioning the Spiritual League, an information injection occurred.
"Desist. The most capable agent is already on site. Besides—" "!!Take it!! It's done, you can activate them now"
>It was a delicate female voice; she explained to you that they had already sent the best man to the location. Yet, in your eyes, less than 100 meters away, that person was lamenting on the ground in despair after "waking up" within themselves. It didn't sound convincing; the woman was about to negotiate another solution or warn you of something, however, a mechanical male voice snatched away with a loud smash sound effect of shattering porcelain, springs, and a Wilhelm scream. That cut off the "communication," which should have been a recorded message, and authorized you to initiate the bombs. A being from Beyond, or whatever that voice was, was interfering with the Spiritual League's operations. It meant no one else would come to stand before you, resulting in a slow and tedious countdown. Even if you accelerated or unraveled the sequence of numbers, there was no external reaction to stop you from carrying out the great terror attack. It fixed its target on all of Nod; the levers inside the bombs resonated twice, stimulating the first and second reactions within the bombs. Naturally, although the explosion causes a brief delirium in your head for a few seconds, demons can survive the nuclear energy discharge. The same applies to some Beyond-line entities, mainly demigods, perhaps some Enigmas tied to deep concepts or related to atoms themselves. However, everything else would be erased, transformed into plasma then contained by Nod's barrier. So it happened. Hundreds of blinding flashes brighter than the sun occurred simultaneously as temperatures rose to millions of degrees Celsius. Within the first microsecond, hundreds of fireballs formed, incinerating everything in their path. The expansion of destruction generated a shockwave that rebounded a thousand and one times within the barrier. For minutes, continuous thermal radiation set fire to everything flammable, and within Nod a field of mushroom-shaped columns made of rubble and smoke formed. You still couldn't see the damage because immediately dozens of unexplained secondary nuclear explosions occurred. Dozens of kilometers-long tentacles appeared and Nod began slowly reconstructing itself. The image zoomed out while blurring, and the frames on the television flickered. What should have been your vision turned into a kind of cheap DVD playback showing a "2X" logo and a backward arrow to rewind again to the moment of the explosions. You find yourself inside one of the offices of the Spiritual League, the lights are off leaving only the shadows cast by popcorn as the sole illumination from the "movie." A childish voice spoke from the side, the one holding the TV remote.
(-) It was incredible, wasn't it?!. Everyone flew into a million pieces and were immediately reassembled. However! That radioactive enigma fell asleep and everyone suffered a lot for a good while. Did you like the outcome? Do you regret it? Would you do it again? Just for that movie.
>It ruined what would happen after the city's reconstruction. Apparently the blonde girl dressed as a clown has already seen the footage, so she has no problem explaining. She floats slightly in the air, she and her hair. She is a few years older than Bagoriceny, whom you completely forgot about and who should have died in the explosion if it hadn't suddenly been a false image. The orb-like creature brought her face closer invasively while asking strange questions. As soon as you realized she was a space human, the type that runs simulations, she shook her index finger while returning to her position on the sofa. At some point the lights turned on.
(-) Sorry, miss, I can't tell you my name. I'll die soon, to protect them all! All the helpless girls in this world! And the big ones among the big ones. But as an Orboide, you thrilled me too much! (...) You're tough. Alright! You can call me Yeiyei. I was told to stall, to die here if possible, to let each of your attacks land, and yours miss.
>After demonstrating a powerful energy reaction, clenching her fists to assert herself, the orboide betrayed her own words. You did nothing, yet she couldn't resist revealing her identity, along with her cheerful nature. Her mission loosely aligned with the actions you were performing while waiting for the explosion. An orboide illusion, even of low quality, can manipulate the perception of time for every being involved. It's possible you were even stuck on the count of second 54. Defeating an orboide is only possible by weakening her in her own game, bringing another orboide to cancel her magic, or eliminating the vital historical figure that gives her life. As you slowly became aware of the situation you were in, Yeiyei acted. She removed the seats and lowered the floor to place you on your feet; she turned the TV into camera lenses and every nearby technological object into recording and live broadcasting gear. The walls collapsed sideways, ignoring the prosthetic light effects through the door. Everything indicated they were about to become part of a television show, with the lunar orboide fairy as host.
(Yeiyei) No way…! Was it a set the whole time? Alright, it's time to cook! Desperation, Constructo de transformación, and Thomas Tremblay—three contestants, only one golden apron.
(Thomas) Hahaha, good luck, friend. I didn't think you'd be here. When was the last time we saw each other? Colorado in '93? I'm not sure I can win, but him... He's got some practice. Be very careful.
>The Libra agent reappeared in his bright, cheerful demeanor, giving you a pat on the back before pointing toward Neth's Construct, who had also crossed the guest threshold. The audience was a mix of humans and beings from Beyond, cameras manned by qualified personnel—likely representatives of other League agents. The atmosphere matched a competitive cooking show, featuring a resource and ingredient gathering zone, a preparation area equipped with kitchens and tools, and finally, a tasting zone. Suddenly, everyone was at their stations, and after the technical announcement, Yeiyei floated in with a virtual list of ingredients for the cooking challenge. It was a free-form preparation.
(Yeiyei) The ingredients for this program are: Human viscera and blood, uugh. Sugar of hope and salt of despair. (...) Oh, we've got two red-alert ingredients. Uranium-235 and lithium-6 deuteride mix. What does the on-screen notice say? It'll be a mandatory ingredient!
>A massive panel with flashing lights burst through the ceiling, displaying an atomic symbol signaling a challenge or dare for the program. The two mandatory resources to be used in the dish preparation were projected. Before you could react, you already saw Tremblay baking lithium into small cookie dough shaped like bunnies. In your prep area, a spotlight keeps constantly blinding your vision, creating intermittent, disorienting multicolored flashes. The cooking station closest to yours belongs to the one-eyed, shapeshifting Construct, currently stir-frying uranium in a pan with a high concentration of scalding hot oil. During one of its quick motions, some of that oil splashes onto your arm. A red accident frame and replay appear on the cameras broadcasting the live feed of events. It's strangely painful—probably because your humanoid form is granting you basic humanoid resistance. Though it's uncertain whether damage sustained inside this orb-like area is being projected outside, it's still concerning. But even more worrying is that you haven't finished gathering your raw materials for cooking, while the judges are already being presented to taste the dishes in a decisive verdict.
(Construct) I'm sorry, I didn't mean to! Are you hurt? I'll fix it.
(Yeiyei) Goodness, looks like we've got a kitchen accident. Can't you save that for later, guys?! Let me ask the audience—do you want to see a painful emergency, or would you prefer to meet the three special judges we've invited exclusively for this program!

My pasts an future selves
to what extent can I accept them?
Gradually, my sense of living
grew blurred an weak...

Your past an future selves
to what extent can I tolerate them?
Someday, my contaminated fickleness
will fall heavily upon you...

It's inexcusable.
I heard those words in the past,
and no matter how many times I hear them
they will always lead to the same answer.

Enough! Stop lying to me,
and tell me the truth.
The nameless winds will sing,
If you'll let me love you, completely.

"If you wish to change yourself,
then separation is inevitable".
Is that, the weight of our respective lives,
what ties us together?

Have I really managed to come this far,
Being unloved by everyone?
After unintentionally reminiscing,
My outlook became so very clear.

I got rid of everything I don't need... long ago.

Enough! This tenderness, this hatred,
and this unhealing pain in my chest.
They'll all be carried away by the nameless winds
if you can forgive me, completely.

How long, how long will this continue...?
I want to accept myself soon...

Someone's body that fluttered down
will disappear tomorrow morning.

"Because I will always be by your side"
I will never forget those words.

Even knowing these are flowers that never wither,
like butterflies, we simply wander lost.

If our fragile hearts sway unstably in mid-air,
we end up hurting each other
while trying to protect one another.

Softly...
with just a gentle touch, there is no going back.
Don't let go of me tonight.
It's alright if I don't go home... until morning...

My wings torn to countless pieces
will disappear tomorrow morning.

Even knowing these are flowers that never wither,
we keep going around in circles, despite knowing we love each other.

If our fragile hearts sway unstably in mid-air,
we end up hurting each other
while trying to protect one another.

Softly...
with just a gentle touch, there is no going back.
Don't let go of me tonight.
It's alright if I don't go home... until morning...

"—It's all your fault."
Whispered at my ear as if you're whispering a curse to me

It's alright if you don't walk me home, 'cause, you know?
That way we don't need to make promises for next time,
right?

That's right.

If our fragile hearts sway unstably in mid-air,
we end up hurting each other
while trying to protect one another.

Softly...
with just a gentle touch, there is no going back.
Don't let go of me tonight.
It's alright if you don't go home, we'll welcome the morning together.

Meta for Chainsaw Man roleplay sheets. Explain doubt, the combat system, and other things you have to say.

There are 3 types of sheets, each with its respective drawback or advantage: human, possessed, and devils.

<Humans
>Name
>Age
>Previous occupation (Any)
>Nationality
>Gender
>Why did you decide to join? (You can save the backstory for development throughout the roleplay)
>Devil with whom you have a contract

Name
>History or origin before being brought to SN
>What devil are you?
>Gender
>Demonic abilities

<Devils
>What devil are you?
>Demonic abilities
>Where were you captured
>What do you think of humans?

The sheets have numbers and are first come, first served I would love to receive them all but OP has a life so there are a total of 7 slots: 1 Devil, 3 humans, and 3 possessed.

In case any anon loldies, another will be able to take their place with their respective character, unless the plot is too advanced. The combat system will be explained within the meta, as well as the devils with whom humans can make pacts, mainly to avoid making a bible as a meta presentation.
